I can't see how this will make any difference to the crowd. Great that we play the Bombers at the MCG but if this is in say round 19 when one team is battling for a place in the finals and one is just marking time until the end of the season, having John Coleman and Darrell Baldock playing wouldn't get extra bums on seats.

Won't make a big difference IMO saints supporters don't go to the G and Goddard playing for Essendon won't change this. That's if BJs hammies make it that far under THE WEAPON.

Coleman and the Doc would get me there, and I usually hate essendon games.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me the fact that Goddard plays for essendon won't make one iota of difference on how badly I want to go to the game. I'll go, as I always do, to watch St.Kilda win a game of football - that's all the motivation any true supporter needs.

The MCG in April is probably a lot more appealing than August. Not only a lot warmer, but round 4, every team is still in contention. Goddard probably nowhere near as controversial as Rosco, will still be interesting to watch how our players 'contest' him.

Don't think there's much of a grudge there, would expect Milney to mouth off at him a bit for the cameras , interesting question is do we tag him, has struggled with the right tag in recent times, Dempster him maybe?

It hurt when Luke Ball left and become the player he was in 2004/2005.

Even if Goddard gets back to his best I still don't think I care two craps about it?

Maybe I have moved on from doting on the players or even some?

Dons sacked the WEAPON soon after the 2012 season.

Any one who paints this as a grudge match , is living in the past . Goddard leaving is the reality of modern professional football and all the it encompasses !

I wont be cheering him , nor will i be jeering him , i hope were all not fearing him and the saints will be tearing him ! (a new asshole .)

Geez, Brian Taylor will be upset. He'll need a new special comments writer.
What a joke - the WEAPON! Sheesh.

I hope Goddard has 35 kicks, 10 handballs, 12 marks & kicks 5 goals.

And I hope Essendon has 35 kicks, 10 handballs, 12 marks & kicks 5 goals. :P

BJ put in 10 years with the club. Thats pretty good in my book. I hope he does well. Cant say I'd like to see him get a Premiership medal though.

I hope they have to wear their hideous grey clash strip and every goddard possession costs them at least $5K.

No grudges here - 10 years at the footy club, hope Goddard does well, but not his new team. Be interesting to see how they use him.

Rnd 4, want the Saints to romp in against Ess.

It's a bummer when players like Goddard go but overall we're pretty lucky in the AFL.

I suppose we could always follow one of those sports where the players don't hang around long enough for people to miss them
