Josh Bruce - GWS
Anyone know anything about him, either playing or contract-wise?
Is a big lad at 197cm and 93kg, 21 as of mid-next season and found it hard to displace The Chad at CHB for GWS. Is a former Glenelg boy, so croweaters may know something.
If we're just throwing out names as we wait for the Goddard compo, why not go left-field and stave off the boredom?
Edit: Standing next to Patton... NOT a small lad.

He's from Canberra so unlikely that he'd want out but you never know. He's a nice size but maybe not with 13. I would take Mohr though he looks like he will be very good in a few years.

As per the GWS site, I think thats the one (damn Wikipedia...).matrix wrote:is there two josh bruces?

Can he play? Perhaps more importantly, can he play 'big'?

The one at GWS played in the SANFL at Glenelg- I'm not sure who the bays are, i thought Glenelg were the Tigers? He was from Canberra originally and is touted as a local hero because the giants are half canberran- it's a very broad term greater western sydney.

Is there a great grandfather/great grandson rule we could get him under?matrix wrote:is there two josh bruces?

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Gotta love the no nonsense black boots/beard combo on Mohr.
Trade for him on that alone.

Re: Josh Bruce - GWS
As an ACT resident, I can clarify any confusion...
The guy on the right is Josh Bruce. Played his junior footy in Canberra with Eastlake and a season with Glenelg. He is the younger brother of former Sydney Swan rookie Aaron Bruce. He played most of his junior footy up forward, but has struggled at AFL level there. He was tried down back alot in 2012.
I don't think he'll make it at AFL level, but regardless, I doubt he would be available at this stage of his career.

he sounds a lot like brown from WCE and we were going to sell the farm to buy him last year.

Re: Josh Bruce - GWS
While he is the right age and a great size it looks like he has a lot to work on - that said he has time
According to his stats below below he is recording on average about 3 clangers a game and for a backman that may not be to good given they may likely result in goals.

Cant find anything to say he has extended his contract or has been offered a contract

Normally against most trades, but he is one i'd be happy with... Seen him on tv a couple times this year, think he looks ok... Better than Brown anyway... i'd be happy to have a serious look at him...

He perfectly fits a need and seems to have as much claims as some other highly rated KPs.

It's quite possibly desperation looking at any player over 194 cms but i think I would consider playing Schnides in platform shoes after watching another FB-less season.
