Bains said if the deal is right pick 13 could still be on the table.... but would it be Caddy? Or is there anyone else? If we gave those picks to Suns, we'd want another player! 13, 24 & 34 for the two we want and Toy or Weller... or maybe 13 & Gilbert for the two... not sure... they might just be pushing their luck for this week or until we get our BJ compo and then they'll get serious...

If Caddy is worth two first round, Hickey a first rounder, Wellingham for 17, then Ray must be worth Dees second rounder at least based on that... I'm dirty that WC are playing hardball with Crippa and Brown... I still reckon Stevens for Cripps and the pick for Luke Thompson is a better deal...

Jordan Gysberts supposedly on the trade table from Melbourne.....probably being used as a filler for either the Dawes deal or the Hogan Mini Draft deal, but could we get in first and use Farren Ray in a deal to get him????

As much as I'd like to keep Faz, if he's going to move on, I' love to do this trade. I remember that Gysberts was an absolute ball magnet when he first started with the Dees racking up big numbers and looked like an established player, not a rookie. I think he'd be worth a punt....probably sick of getting nowhere at Melbourne and just needs a fresh start.

Gysberts in his 3 years at Melbourne has averaged 20 disposals, 4 marks and 4 tackles per game

Had a decent 2011 (15 games) however was curtailed by injuries this year - firstly an ankle problem that kept him out for 5 weeks and then a broken jaw in his comeback game which kept him out for another 5 weeks (both earlier in the season)

After this he played a further 11 games with Casey (in 8 games he averaged over 20 possessions per game) and 1 further game with the senior Melbourne side

Obviously it seems he is out of favour with Neeld (reasons??) considering he played 15 games the previous year whilst racking up some impressive numbers as a 19/20 year old.

We sure do not have 13. I read somewhere that the Demons have flogged it on to the Giants for some 17 yo from the west and some other incentives ehrown both ways...........

which will be pushed up to 14 when we get allocated 13... every spot will move up one from 13 on....

And as other FA compo picks get allocated even further back....so pick 50 may become say pick 54 or whatever.

We may go for Gysberts, Jacobs, Stevens, even a trade for Moloney on the cheap if we miss out on Caddy.. but doubt we'd trade for any mids prior to Caddy deal being done (wherever he ends up).

Just on Brown... didn't hear it but Eagles are emphatic that Brown wont go anywhere... geez I hope this doesnt bite us in the ass with Crippa walking for zilch...

Should not trade 13, dont think we will get caddy with 13 unless with threw in Dal, Joey and Zoo as well.

Yeah, but they can't use it this year - you have to lock it in at the start of the year. They can trade it, though, but it will always be locked to Geelong's finishing position in whatever year it's used.

Unfortunately WCE gave up their pick 17 as we could have traded crips and 13 for brown and 17....

Gold Coast have to use at least 3 picks in the draft, same as all other clubs.

I think their list has to by cut by 4 as well. So thats 7 seven players they need to cull.
