Kurt Tippett
Has put himself on the market, we should at least enquire as to what he wants.
Ideal chop out for McEvoy and play Roo, Stanley and or Kosi out of the square.

Would be a perfect fit but I hear he is demanding around the same $$ as Goddard

Re: Kurt Tippett
Would rather spend that money on a 25 year old KPF than a 28 year old utility.SaintSimmo wrote:Would be a perfect fit but I hear he is demanding around the same $$ as Goddard
Re: Kurt Tippett
Can't fathom he is headed anywhere else other than the Suns.
Bidding war evenuating for him is silly, risk for contending clubs is too high....could be one more knock away from retirement

Id love him - I reckon he is a genuine gun player.
But no chance given we have embarked on a new no outlier list management plan. We we wont be paying anyone over 600k next year or the year after.

Re: Kurt Tippett
Too expensive, he'd cost 700k+ and we'd need to part with our first pick and a good young player. I'd be seriously worried about his concussion issues as well. One or two more knocks to the head and it could be game over.
Re: Kurt Tippett
He's not a free agent so it's primarily Adelaide that we need to convince. I would definitely be making enquiries, would love to get him.

Agreed. Good player, but very high risk - this blokes a landmine looking for somewhere to explode.cwrcyn wrote:Two or three concussions away from retirement.........................................

Re: Kurt Tippett
Maybe Pelchen and Watters had an inkling he was leaving and that's why they didn't force the issue with BJ or there might be another big target they've set their sights on.
Someone who wants similar coin to BJ, but is a key position or a ruckman???
MAYBE????

Re: Kurt Tippett
Apparently stuck on the south/eastern.
Id love to know our 3/5 year plan as we dont even know the age of the players we re lookin at now.
Do we write off the next two years while we rebuild .
Now that Goddard is gone its a massive gap between dal roo , hayes etc to the next group. '
Are they just there to mentor the next group coming thru?
Have pelcan and watters etc actually come out and mentioned where we are heading in 12 and '13 cause im a bit confused.

Watters and Pelchen have both come out and said they have a strict policy of a flatter pay structure from now on. Team before individual.
Watters also clearly stated the club has made mistakes paying too much for marquee players in the past "at the expense of rest of list" (that was a polite swipe at Roo's contract)
So no way they are going to turn around after all of that and pay over $600k for someone. They will look like the biggest phoneys of all time.
So dont expect a big fish. But expect maybe some small-medium fish.

Re: Kurt Tippett
Just getting the feeling that perhaps, the fact that they are even enquiring about a 7-800,000 player that maybe it could be time to reduce their bloated salary cap, just ridiculous. Ironically their advantage is about what the most expensive player in the league costs… ENOUGH.noddy04 wrote:Over here they are saying hes off to the Swines
