Wellingham for 13?

Re: Wellingham for 13?
Con, the Demons gave the Lions pick 12 for Mitch Clarke so no way would we give up the same in a better draft for an outside midfielder who would be the 6th best mid with his current team. We already stuffed up with Lovett a few years back, you don't give up top picks unless it's for a very, very good player.

It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.gringo wrote:Sainternist wrote:hahaha... it is actually John Lurie who did the vocals for the theme song for his fishing show way back in the early 90's. It sounds like he ingested too much heroin.

Probably not for pick 13 but Id say he's worth around the 25th pick mark. Good player.

Six debutants for the Saints so far in Season 2024.
Re: Wellingham for 13?
I would have him as 6th best behind Pendles, Swan, Beams, Sidebottom and uhum, Luke Ball (for what he offers).Con Gorozidis wrote:4th best mid?Old Mate wrote:Con, the Demons gave the Lions pick 12 for Mitch Clarke so no way would we give up the same in a better draft for an outside midfielder who would be the 6th best mid with his current team. His name is Sharrod, as has poofy hair. A bit like Kobe and his hair... Seriously at least we dont have to worry about Hickey spending too much time in the mirror!
Wellingham would ask for too much and so would Pies, massive no from me as will only ever be a flashy GOP who thinks a little too highly of himself.
Another thought re draft packs, can teams get more than one FA pick, eg BJ and Clarke walk do we get a first and third round pick or is compensation an overall picture like if we took a FA also (the pick would fall places)

Re: Wellingham for 13?
Nope. No way for a first rounder. Third rounder maybe or late second. 87th in the comp in 2012 for contested possessions. 2 more than Armo. 8th in CP's at the Filth. Would like to see us get another hard ball winner. Lenny can't go for ever.

Re: Wellingham for 13?
Wellingham is a front runner and a 'delightful' human being. I simply could not tolerate him in a St Kilda Jumper, and I'd be unhappy with our coach for making such a stupid decision.

Re: Wellingham for 13?
I don't think we should ever consider trading with Collingwood. It's always the same old story with the filth - they want to attract A grade players but not prepared to give up anything of worth. If we ever did consider a trade, we'd have to look to build in some compensation into the deal for being shafted the way we were with Luke Ball.
NO, I don't like Wellingham and would be really pissed off if we gave up a first round pick for him.
