And at Collingwood where he would have plenty of mates.
RIP John such terrible news.
"It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress."
Now Andrew Demetrious at his press conference mentioned his grandfather played for
St Kilda, which I hadn't heard of before.
IHe always reminded me of the "Chesty Bonds" character, that chiselled look.
He was really looking like he was showing his talents on the field too, everything looked like the future was bright and something like that happens. Really shocks you to the core how quickly it can all just end. Really sad day for footy and incredibly sad for his family and friends.

Interesting comment from journo on the website that has gone with the news,.disdain
Said website has since edited its article and has not done any follow up stories on the incident, much of media beung praised for their handling,
Particularly given the information was coming in from international wire services. http://m.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news ... 6471385773

SNF had named the player and mid afternoon other journos were deriding 'some' for doing so when family were still to be informed
This info is a change in sicial outlook, http://mobile.news.com.au/national/how- ... 6471388699
maybe the need for the shock to gain is not as overriding as we feel, or is changing,

What is going to be even more upsetting in the days and weeks to come is the blame game that will go on. Never understood the need for blame when their is devastating loss and suffering. Blaming does not take the pain and hurt away.
This story is becoming more upsetting as the hours pass. Tragic loss and my thoughts are with his partner, family and friends.

Hopefully a few end of season footy trips both AFL and non AFL may be a bit tamer this year than
Normal. Not such a bad thing if that happens.
