I wonder what the players will think of sharing their 'centre square' quiet moment after winning the G F- with several thousand fans...

I think it''s a great idea and would plan to be there next year.

I still think the batmobile and Angry was first class kind of stuff. You know "Bound For Glory" Those were the days.

Good band and will fire up the gf. about time the afl got their act together on this, it is one of the few things they do poorly.

Of the three gf's I have been to the only good song was jimmy Barnes 'no second prize'. I'm not really a jimmy fan but before a gf with beer in hand, it was pretty apt. Unfortunately we found out the truth in those lyrics.

Inxs were ok but only because our seats were just a few rows away from the stage.

Why don't they get someone decent who everyone has heard of instead of a work experience band!

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

At the end of that day, AFL cant please every body. They get told to have Australian acts, they do that and still get panned.

The main thing for me is it is someone that has had a hit within the last couple of years, rather than a couple of decades ago ala meatloaf, Lionel Ritchie. They only get to play 2 or 3 songs, most people will recognize when they hear them.

Why not Sherbet for people who are older than that?

actually, yeah, why not just get braithwaite and barnesy on lifetime contracts. they can both just belt out whatever they feel like, whenever they feel like it. would be perfect!

A couple of decades is too generous most of those guys must have needed defrosting. Seriously most AFL fans weren't born when they were around. The only old band that could kick it is AC DC who are international icons and cross generations. Helps that the theme song is incorporated too.

The bottom line - who gives a flying duck who does the entertainment because we're not going to be one of the teams on the day :(
