Lost me with Goddard took some time......debuted in round 4 as a 17 yr old, some expected him to be leigh Matthews from game 1! West coast and Adelaide have surely proven the "window" to be a fallacy! Harden up people!

FFS move on, good players come and go, s**t happens!!
Take a look at Geelong, who says we can't do the same thing next year?!!!
This season is gone, get over it you could not honestly have thought that we were going to win the flag this year anyway.
We will improve next year with greater understanding of the game plan, hopefully a better list, and maybe some supporters with some f***ing faith!!

[*] until Goddard is either on board or not,
[*] Nick's knees have improved from their condition the last 2 years,
[*] We have adequate replacements for or retain a rejunenated Kosi,
[* ]we have recruited a key poistion defender,
[*] fisher's operation shows no downside and does not impeded his preseason,
[*] Evidence that some of the younger players develop to a new level albeit it shared,
[*] Our midfield are not shown to have slowed a gear and have started to share positions with youth more regularly,
[*] Our defence is not placed under continued significant pressure without flooding so that an interesting and resilient game style remains that does not lose the defensive edge.

Plenty of work to do here to see the team rise up the ladder. Remember other teams are also developing but many have a head start as they introduced youth at regular intervals over 5 years. This is effectively the biggest difference between Saints and Geelong. The second biggest is that players in other clubs, get paid value within their salary cap and take the hit for the team fortune (bar Ablett), without having a core group that always seem to be over paid compromising team growth. This has happened for 30 years at St. Kilda and it has not provided success.
