Yea once again you cant trust the "best". Although for big man he wasnt half bad considering the terrible conditions..

If you read this article on Saints website you'd think Ross was dominate player on ground!! http://www.saints.com.au/news/newsartic ... fault.aspx
Only reason i can come up with for them talking him up like that is that he's going to debut this week.

Because Shenton was absolutely useless up forward. Should have been dropped ages ago, but since moving back few weeks ago he's really turned his form around. Basically if he stayed up forward he'd have been a lock to be delisted but his recent form might save him.

Siposs has had ankle injury for few weeks im led to believe. They've managed his gametime for few weeks. Its part of reason he's not in Saints side.

anyhoo hopefully he has turned it around like you said thunda

sipp:
dont see the point in playing a future KPP in a mudbath like that if he is having a jab in the ankle to get thru
but im not a doc so....

The positive from those stats is that Dunell had 8 marks in those bad conditions.

They had no multiple goalkickers but Daniel Archer, Arryn Siposs, Samuel Dunell and St Kilda-listed Clint Jones battled well all day.

The Zebras remain sixth on the ladder and if they beat Casey this weekend will earn a home final. If not, they will be relying on Bendigo to beat Box Hill Hawks.

General manager John Mennie said it was an ugly day of football for the Zebras.
"We didn't make use of the wind in the second quarter," he said. "Their half-time lead wasn't insurmountable but by three quarter time the game was over.

"They were more fierce, more aggressive at the football and wanted it a bit more.

"We floundered in the mud. Last week our pace and ball movement helped us a lot but pace wasn't available in those conditions.

"It was just one of those games. There were a lot of ball-ups and no great skill. What skill there was came from Williamstown."

andringham has vowed to improve significantly after a disappointing loss to Williamstown on the weekend, according to defender Jackson Ferguson.

The St Kilda rookie stated the dismal loss was unacceptable especially leading into finals.

“Our effort wasn’t there and we didn’t work hard enough against a hungrier and more committed side,” he said post game.

“It just wasn’t good enough and we’re going to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

“There was a lot of heads down after the game and it’s certainly one we’d rather forget.”

The conditions for the weekend’s game were difficult to say the least, with a strong wind giving a significant advantage to the team kicking to the city end; an advantage that Williamstown used to create a substantial lead in the third term.
