Warney
Is it just me, or does it strike anyone that arguably the greatest cricketer of all time should be on our pay-roll in an official manner?
Absolute gun sportsman who knew how to get it done in the clinches and constantly delivered.
Just saying.

My oath!
He could be used as some kind of motivator.
Anyway, Liz adds a bit of glamour!

In honour of those who went before, in the dark and desperate years.

Re: Warney
He has a lot of coin - id rather he was a major benefactor so we could go out and buy some gun players.
It seems we are always worried about teams poaching our players but we never worry anyone else that we are going to poach their players. Man id like us to be on the attack for once. Recruit a gun player or a gun assistant coach or both.

Wasn't even a member last year was he?
Remember he dished out a bit of heat at Lyon, and he fired back with it...

Re: Warney
i hope its not Carlton that is throwing the cheque book at him.
They've always been dirty on the fact that their salary cap rorting cost them Goddard, who was a mad Carlton supporter as a kid and who they'd had earmarked for some years.
Essendon would be another possibility

He delivered on the pitch, but spun a lot of wides on life's field,
complete and utter idiot (But my favorite spin bowler!)

Re: Warney
We already pay the salary cap so I am unsure how Warne's money would really assist us in buying some gun players?Con Gorozidis wrote:He has a lot of coin - id rather he was a major benefactor so we could go out and buy some gun players.

Re: Warney
Did anyone hear him give his captaincy speech? He sounded like David Brent from the Office or what ever his name was. Warney was a genius player but he is a little on the vain and dumb side sorry.
