How many can you turn over in one year?
Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

Having only played 9 games this year I'm not sure Farren is in Scott's long term plans

He's dropped away in the second half of the year but has still improved overall.whiskers3614 wrote:5 years in the VFL can do that to you.oh when the wrote:Jack Steven - can't play under pressure.
And he spent 3 years there not 5, get a grip.

So jack's poor disposal is all Lyon's fault as well?whiskers3614 wrote:5 years in the VFL can do that to you.oh when the wrote:Jack Steven - can't play under pressure.
I agree with you about Ray though. He has been unlucky not to be picked more. I would definitely be keeping him at the end of the year. What about thoses ppl who wanted Milney delisted at the end of this year? We may not have a fwd line if Milney goes

Will be Surprised if we continue with Wilkes.

Wilkes is a lock for next year IMHO. At least he can mark. Hes better thank Kosi and we dont have anyone else for that position.IluvHarvey wrote:Will be Surprised if we continue with Wilkes.
So we need to recruit a young gun key fwd asap. In the meantime Wilkes will be a good back-up.

This is just f****** hysterical, I have seen some ridiculous knee jerk bull s*** statements on this forum before but this is a winner,oh when the wrote:Jack Steven - can't play under pressure.
If we let Steven go, there would be exactly 17 clubs all lining up to talk to his management.
He will be our number 1 midfielder in the next year or two.

Wilkes is our Krakouer. As Brian Taylor would say; he's an MCG specialist.
As for Jack, he did an OK job tonight and won a few contested balls including the clearance out of the centre that went deep forward and resulted in Saints getting to within a point in the last

If it is on money then Kosi is going number one. May be the worst game I have ever seen a senior player ever have.

Agree. He was disgraceful. When it was announced on the scoreboard he was subbed out I reckon I heard the biggest Bronx cheer of my life.plugger66 wrote:If it is on money then Kosi is going number one. May be the worst game I have ever seen a senior player ever have.
Watters surely has to move on him now. He's a cancer in our side now.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

1. Raph - Disagree, I think his best football is actually still in front of him, can be a solid depth player. One Eyed Saint wrote:1. Raph

2. Peake - Agree
3. Polo - Agree
4. Jones - Disagree, every side can use a good defensive midfielder, and he is a good defensive midfielder.
5. Kosi - Agree, there are others who are far more capable and deserving of that second tall forward spot than he, sad to see that he's a liability to the team now and is being carried week in, week out.
6. Crocker - no idea, never seen him play.
7. Ray - disagree, he's a solid midfield-depth player who can fill a role when needed.
8. Winmar - Haven't seen him play but I would have thought that with his body shape and surname he could be given more time?
Also....
I just cannot believe the hate that Jack Steven cops on here or that people want to get rid of him. Jack Steven is a true Saint and I'd consider him absolutely NOT on the table for trade. He battles his guts out every week and never leaves anything out on the field. If all our players tried as hard as he and had hearts as big as his we'd be a better side. Yes, his disposal is holding him back, but all other indicators point to him rising to become a top-grade mid. He's got speed, wins hard-balls, and has a big tank and runs out games well.
Tell me, really, who is worse? Jack Steven, who is fairly limited in natural ability but gives you an honest, fairdinkum 100% crack every week, or Brendon Goddard, blessed with the finest skills and body shape that a footballer can possibly have, but who never gives you a consistent, sustained period of him busting his balls for the side? If BJ bled for the jumper every week the way Jack does, he'd probably be the best player in the comp...
"Too big, too strong, too whatever."
Re: Thanks for your service but its time to go...
lol how can you put Ray in that list when he was one of our best players last night?
Stupid.....
Secondly, I think Crocker needs more time, along with Winmar, you can't just expect them to play AFL after one or two years. Some people....

Re: Thanks for your service but its time to go...
A list still needs midfield depth. Ray is perfect midfield depth. Should not be cut under any circumstance. One Eyed Saint wrote:Having only played 9 games this year I'm not sure Farren is in Scott's long term plans

With Saad Sneider Milne and Milera in our squad Kosi is a very crucial part of our structure.

Couldn't agree more I don't know what some people are expecting at the progressive level he is at he has been the shining light of all the kids of the next generation.
We have a Captain on $1 million a year who can barely kick goals from 30 metres out, players running around constantly missing team mates by a miles hitting opposition players on the chest and some that cant even get the ball at all.
Then a young kid with plenty of fire in the belly that runs straight and hard at the ball and gets plenty of it with the confidence to take players on, gets dragged over the coals because he's still green and makes some mistakes.
Remember the frustrating early days of Stephen Milne always trying to do too much and constantly being caught and penalised costing plenty of goals?

That's the spirit. Now you join a group comprising 2 who have both used that term on Saints players.saintspremiers wrote:Agree. He was disgraceful. You come out with nonsense sometimes, but this is your lowest.
Plus the other bottom feeder who had a go at me about putting up the teams on Thursday
