Dr Larkins Rooey Knee Update
Dr Larkin just said on pies swans game Rooey has a small tear in the tendon at the back of his knee (not acl) and said unlikely this week. IMO wouldn't be worried if we didn't see him again this year. Prefer that then full acl tear and out for this and next year for the sake of making up the numbers in the 2012 finals.

Re: Dr Larkins Rooey Knee Update
He's out against Geelong. That's pretty clear it seems. Next game is a bye match vs GWS.
So the question is, will he be OK for the Carlton game IF we are still in finals contention?

Re: Dr Larkins Rooey Knee Update
Has Doc Larkins EVER had a good prognosis of a saints injury?
I've seen Cats players decapitated and Dr Larkins declare "nothing to much in that and should be right for next week"
In our case - L Hayes stubbs toe..."could be a maniscular fasciatatis that may be see him lose the left leg....we'll know more after scan..." L Hayes plays next week..

Who really knows.
Buddy hyper-extended his knee and played the following week last year.
It's all guesswork.

Doc didn't happen to say which tendon did he? I reckon he's just regurgitating what he's already heard.andrewg wrote:the tendon at the back of his knee
I'm not sure how they arrive at 1-2 weeks from a partial tendon tear.
Wait until Thursday. I reckon you'll see Roo in the team sheet.

Yep. He may know his biz but unless you've actually examined the patient/injury then you're just guessing.mullet wrote:Exactly my pointTeflon wrote:Has Doc Larkins EVER had a good prognosis of a saints injury?

Mybe if we could kick onto his tit, instead of making him bend down all the time it might help as well.SaintPav wrote:Sometimes, just sometimes I wish Roo wouldn't try that hard.

Re: Dr Larkins Rooey Knee Update
They just need to get some more of that cows blood into him (or whatever it is) and he'll be fine (and probably lactating as well).
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
