What Gieschen says is simply a bald-faced lie and fools no-one.
Can you tell us all of that umpires mistakes on Saturday night?

A mistake that could cost our club entry to the finals
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: "Umpire that made mistake won't be dropped"
True story, a friend used to work on a cruise ship, one of the guys on staff got very drunk then went into a packed dining room naked stood up the front and started masturbating when they tried to remove him he barked like a dog at them and tried to bite. The guy rather than quit fronted up for his next shift while the rest of the crew wondered how he could show his face.
Margets is the equivalent of the barking masturbator, he should suspend himself out of personal disgust.

That one incident cannot be used as an excuse. Surely!

Umpires don't usually decide matches but when there's virtually no time left and there is a wrong decision which stops us running into an open goal then the umpire has affected the result of the match.Cairnsman wrote:PJ wrote:A mistake that could cost our club entry to the finals

You can say that poor kicking or skill errors cost us the match during the whole game however, at that point in time, right there, right then, the umpire has cost us 2 points.
So, in short, an umpire can most definitely cost a team a game.

Re: "Umpire that made mistake won't be dropped"
I aggree with SW and what he said cost us the game and that was the execution and skill errors leading up to that free kick and throughout the game probably cost us the game more than anything. You shouldn't have to rely on the umpires to win you a game by getting 100% of their calls right 100% of the time. If the umpire had of made that mistake in the first 5 minutes of the game then we probably would have been giving Kosi a hard time for just bombing the ball in instead of picking a better option. We lost the game in the second quarter. Blaming the umpire just glosses over the team's issues.Jacks Back wrote:Umpires don't usually decide matches but when there's virtually no time left and there is a wrong decision which stops us running into an open goal then the umpire has affected the result of the match.Cairnsman wrote:PJ wrote:A mistake that could cost our club entry to the finals

You can agree with whoever you like. In essence it cost us the game - if he'd made what was to most watching the correct decision we'd have 2 points. It's quite an unemotional statement of fact.
