Here, here. I coudn't care less if they're currently splitting atoms in the shed at home and helping old ladies accross the road, I want blokes that can find the pill more than their oponents and do something useful with it when they have it. Everything else is white noise.spert wrote:I would personally recruit good footballers with excellent skills who lead by example, and if they happen to have good off-field creds then that's good too.

Re: Daniel Markworth
Might be a sneaky chance this week.
Not basing that on the fact we're playing the Demons in what many regard as a practice match.
Not basing that on his performance at Sandy on the weekend.
Not basing that on the need to blood some kids.
Not looking at who he could replace, or whether he should replace them etc.
It's just that sometimes these blokes get a run after a little story about them has appeared on the club's website.

I have a very good feeling that in a few years we will be looking back wondering how we acquired such a good player so cheaply.

Interestingly enough L Ball was reportedly critical of Lyon's gameplan in team meetings......vacuous space wrote:You want them just smart enough to understand your gameplan and not quite smart enough to question it.

Would love to see him get a game in the seniors before the year's end. Have loved what I've seen of him at VFL level.

if true, that raises some very interesting questions.....saintsRrising wrote:Interestingly enough L Ball was reportedly critical of Lyon's gameplan in team meetings......vacuous space wrote:You want them just smart enough to understand your gameplan and not quite smart enough to question it.

Ross was conducting a midfield meeting, Luke put up his hand and questioned the mathematics behind the formula as it didn't compute, was supposed to have humiliated Ross in front of everyone and that's when their relationship started breaking down.
Allegedly.

Daniel didn't even make the emergency list this week.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
