Is there a link to comment by the umpire department?GoSaintersGo wrote:Umpires Dept. have reported that the free kick to O'Brien was INCORRECT. So up roars Fatprick Smith.
No mention on all the other mistakes in favour of the Filth is noted - might be embarrasing to the AFL and Dimwit.

Goodness me, will wonders ever cease?
The incidental contact by Milne to the arm was a Bridge too Far to defend even for the KGB oops I mean the AFL.

Knows more about AFL than cricket. And that's saying something. He was pinged for chucking I believe.magnifisaint wrote:What does Fatprick Smith know about footy?

Re: Patrick Smith's view on the umpiring
We didn't lose the game because of the obrien free , we lost it cos as usual the same players made the same poor skill errors when under pressure !
however in regard to milne taking his eye off the ball . Any player who doesn't take their eye off the ball when running with the flight of it is reckless , jono brown does it and all the media carry on how courageous he is , but he's also almost killed himself countless times .
Milney being a little runt would surely kill himself if he copped any of the hits that brown has !

All that was done before then had added up to that specific moment.
The decision was made at a time when a goal would have all but soaked up the rest of the time available for there to be any alternative result.
So the incorrect decision had a direct bearing on it being a Collingwood win rather than a draw.

Re: Patrick Smith's view on the umpiring
Wrong. Armo kicks the goal, Yapper gets in O'Brine's face. Salty O'Brine slaps Yapper in the face. Incompetent umpire awards Milne a free kick. We win by a goal. Simple really.Thinline wrote:Beg to differ.mr six o'clock wrote:We didn't lose the game because of the obrien free , we lost it cos as usual the same players made the same poor skill errors when under pressure !

I could not have scripted a better ending to a bitter bitter game. That is GOLD.Fazer wrote:Wrong. Armo kicks the goal, Yapper gets in O'Brine's face. Salty O'Brine slaps Yapper in the face. He's entitled to his opinion but it seems very left field to me.

mildurasaint wrote:Actually, agree with Smith on this one. Milney took his eyes of the ball a couple of times running back. Though it was fair enough. Other decisions not sure about but for me we lost the game by kicking poorly, and picking out Collingwood players such as Jolly too often.
I hope anyone who takes their eyes off the ball this week are penalised. Dangerous eye contact is ruining this sport. What if Milne's twitching eyebrows distracted Harry and he tripped an twisted his ankle? Kosi could have made Ban Reid have nightmares just by bulging his eyeballs at an in opportune moment. When will Anderson and co start looking at the real issues. While players only look at the ball there is little chance of infringements happening. We should make everyone just sit in a circle watching a firmly planted footy while holding hands.
