It's all about the Bombers and Freo losing from here on in, WCE winning the sandgroper derby is imperative, and not the gimmie that it would have been a few weeks ago.

That Swans match has all but broke my optimism for this year, but a win tomorrow might revive it.

Same here. A lot of Dawks softcocks went missing tonight - Mitchell, Lewis, ravioli. Shoe makers or whatever his name is a huge liability in their defense.

I don't bother watching a lot of games when we aren't involved, but that game last night showed why we still have the greatest game on earth. I had the hawks to win by 4, but cheered that kick through. Geelong deserve to play finals. If we can beat Collingwood, we will as well. Best game I've seen since we beat the cats in 09. Their mental fortitude is on a different level to ours and anyone else. Great team. Damn them.

Finals games also put teams into another gear and that was what that was last night. It was finals quality and intensity and both those teams have got what it takes to produce that type of football in the finals. We don't.

Even if we beat Collingwood tonight it still won't mean we will be flag contenders. North beat us late in the season in 2009 but did anyone think North were capable of winning the flag that year. I still don't rate the Cats chances come September, they were lucky last night that they caught the Hawks napping in the first quarter. That won't happen to them again. It will be very good for the Hawks to have that wake up call this close to September.

With Cats losing last night it is getting more and more difficult make the 8. There are now a lot of ifs that have to go our way, and footy does tend to be a % game

Cats now look to be a lock after their two last wins and better form that they are now in, compared to the indifferent form that they ere in.

Freo does play North though (the one that loses may open the door for us), as well as Pies and Crows.
