If you are an umpire and think that was anything but a tackle that happened to injure a player accidentally he's got no hope. When umpires don't know what a good tackle is it's no wonder the others have no clue. We have become so hysterical about injury that if you accidentally injure some one in play it is referred. Soft c**k game the AFL is becoming, I hope they ask the Bulldogs manicurist for evidence but they may have been busy applying emergency spray tan to Gia and missed the incident.

The AFL is harder than ever. Tackles hurt more, bumps hrt more, more inside game. Really people who think like you are living in the dark ages when we thought it was ok to smash guys off the ball with shephards that proved nothing in toughness. i think Wilkes is in trouble. i could be wrong.

Laid the tackle on Carrazzo that saw him out for all that time, rode him in the ground.

Wilkes will get a rest courtesy of the mrp. don't agree with it, but that's modern footy for you.

In India if you accidentally run someone over in your car you can be beaten to death by the mob. The AFL is starting to use the same illogical legal system for football. Someone is injured while the player tackling is doing what they are meant to do but because the tackled player hits their head they are rubbed out. It's either always outlawed or ok it is a split second game but now you need ESP to make a judgment call in the heat of a game.

I played footy on the weekend for the first time in a long time and a guy went off with broken ribs after a tackle. It sucked but it was an accident, the AFL now wants the tackler culpable if the player is injured. It is so stupidly unjust and hard to work out where you stand it's beyond belief. Because you don't like Wilkes doesn't mean he should be suspended.

Wilkes maybe for the sling tackle: Reckless, Body contact and High Impact is 5 points and a reprimand provided he has no bad record or carry over points.

no slinging action, no high contact, tried to roll him as he tackled, it looked like a good tackle to me. just because his shoulder went shouldn't dictate the result. At the end of the day the MRP are a bunch of imbeciles that pull results from a hat so it could be a life ban or nothing.

Anyone else think Roo is trimmed down an awful lot compared to other seasons?

He was buffed as for awhile there.

scuffle happened near us. the young bulldog on kossie threw a fist at him
kossie grabbed him by his jumper up near his throat. Thought kossie had
great restraint at the time. Rooey flew in to the kid to stand up for kossie
then others including lake moved in to the pushing & shoving. All this was
behind play. emergency umpire ordered roo to get a new jumper & it was
over. Thought they should have looked at the kids initial fist to kossies face.
