MEMBERS SCARVES? !!

Every time I have been to the footy this year and every time I've watched the saints on TV I see that the 2010 & 2011 scarves are very popular whilst the 2012 scarves are spotted rarely. I know there are a number of reasons for this, including;

Having to pay for the 2012 model

The quality & colour match ups on the 10-11 models are better (the 2012 model seems more like a Bar Runner)

I alternate between my 2010 & 2011 scarves (I think I wore the 2012 model once)

What do others think?

I have a stockpile from previous years so why pay out for a new one when they used to be included in the membership fee?

This isn't the EPL, and I can't imagine that many people feel the need to rush out and get the latest version of the scarf. I don't care if my scarf says 2009!

I wear the 2010 one because it's longer and keeps me much warmer.

I bought a 2012 scarf, but the colours look like red black and grey (not white), so just blended into the crowd. Its also very short more like a kids scarf. I now wear my 2011 one. It stands out much better on TV.

Well, the FREE scarves were BETTER Quality, BETTER Colour, BETTER Length, BETTER Warmth than the 2012 model that we had to bloody pay for !!

Because of scarves. I doubt that very much. Matter of fact i know a few people who havent even bothered getting them after the first year, me included. One of blooy things is enough.

We're talking about the more fickle fans though, the ones that perhaps look for a reason not to renew, than to....

If they are that fickle I dont think a scarf will make any difference especially as they have one anyway. We just havent got as many supporters and we wish we had and now that most think the window is shut many didnt renew.

I loved the 2009 the best, they really stood out on TV. Closely followed by 2010. As I have always said, how many scarves do you need.

Ditto, but from a couple of years earlier. One that has the black faded to a weird shade of green and a vfl logo half fallen off!!
