the "Ahmed Saad"
how many styles of kick, goal marks, actions, or skills have been nicknamed after a player who did them often?
heard a Kick for goal being descrived as "not quite an Ahmed Saad"
in Cricket there's the Mankad.
but are there any in AFL?

Re: the "Ahmed Saad"
Saw Adam Saad play and he did heaps of Ahmed saads today wouldn't mind a pair of Saads. Kicks a footy like a round ball although he didn't run up from somewhere near footscray before kicking a goal.

Back in my primary school days a big pack mark or "stepladder" job was known as a "Jezza".
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Yes, White Winmar, when I was a kid any spectacular mark in the air was called a "Jezza". I hope in the future, a very difficult kick off the ground goal, becomes a "Saad".White Winmar wrote:Back in my primary school days a big pack mark or "stepladder" job was known as a "Jezza".

Yep, same here but later in the 70's, in my hometown of Kyabram, Vic, I started calling them 'Barkers', and it caught on all over town, and through different aged teams.

The Raph -A brave but ultimately unsucessful attempt leading to a free kick against.
Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!
