Same as AAMI. Rarely do we win even if the opposition are shite.

Tough for most teams up there, they beat the Eagles after all.

Ah yes, I had to wait 16 years after I moved to Brisbane for us to win a single game at the Gabba, overall it's a f****** graveyard... Even when we were minor premiers in '97 we somehow lost by 100+ points up here...bassoon wrote:Umm...three in a row at the Gabba now. Hardly a graveyard.
The future's so bright I've got to wear shades...

Wasn't that at the start of the season and we hadn't won a game? All the games we seem to win are tight not matter what Brisbane team we are playing.Harvey To Hayes wrote:Ah yes, I had to wait 16 years after I moved to Brisbane for us to win a single game at the Gabba, overall it's a f****** graveyard... It's seriously crap after dark. Dewy, slippery and the grass is super long.
Makes for a ordinary night spectacle.
But to view footy at live it ROCKS.
Love those open air bars.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Won the last three years there plus another in 2006 - hardly a graveyard I would have thought.
Since 2000 Brisbane have been hard to beat anywhere, in 2003-4 we only beat them by a few points both times at the Docklands, and we also struggled to defeat them at the Docklands when we finished on top in 2009. It's always between 2 and 3 goals. But we are still beating them.
In 100 years we only beat Carlton and Collingwood 7 times at Princes park and Victoria Park respectively. Essendon's Windy Hill was a similar record. Now, they are what I would call graveyards.
Sounds like a good place to watch footy though.

Wish GF's were as big as of a graveyard as the Gabba has been recently.

We must be due to play the Lions in Melbourne next year, as we haven't done so since Rd 9, 2009, when they came close to being the first team to beat us that season
