More worried about Dal's knee
Joey seemed to be OK, he was looking great for a second week also.
Worse case it helps when you have BJ and Steven waiting in the wings.

Out: Wilkes, ??? see how the injuries go,
Kosi probably deserves a spell but is again saved by no one else who can pinch hit in second ruck.

Anyone who thinks DUNNELL is an out next week is a DILL!!!
The kid has "it"... and should be given every chance of showing "IT" off
FFS - the biggest thing coming out of tonight wasn't a "W" against the Brions.... it was the fact that the boy DUNNELL can play... and very well at that!!!

Re: Changes for next week
Dunnell got 8 possies in a half. Not bad. Not as polished as you'd ideally like. Tough gig against the Swines @ SCG.Old Mate wrote:Wilkes and Dunnel look the obvious choices for Steven and Goddard.
But did just enough IMO. Injuries may allow Steven and BJ in with Wilkes the only clearly obvious out.

Re: Changes for next week
Noticed that Joey didn't have his arm around the shoulder of the bloke next to him when singing the song.
Reckon it's very sore.
Could be the AC Joint in a worst case scenario which would mean season over.
I'll wait with bated breath until we hear something.

Dunell (one N) was great, but he was taking the place of Steven this week who is an automatic in obviously.
For all the waffle about Gram, Gilbert, Kosi and even Geary tonight, they'll all be playing next week. Jones & Ray were super too…
Re: Changes for next week
Steven and Goddard In. Wilkes will probably go out.
Thought Gwilt was poor tonight defensively, not his man-marking but his pressure around the ground. Opposition players just seemed to run off him to easily. Looked at the stats, didn't even lay a tackle. Seems like his lost his drive which is understandable after a knee injury.

Re: Changes for next week
Sydney at the SCG is a different sort of game. Can't see Dunell standng up with his body size in that environment.
In Steven, BJ
Out Wilkes, Dunell
The only other vulnerable players (although highly unlikely) would be Gwilt, Ray, Siposs and Simpkin

Re: Changes for next week
I'm going with out Wilkes in BJ, and let him have a crack at playing forward.
I think it would be hugely unfair to drop Farren who played more in the midfield this week, and Steven should return if an injury.

Re: Changes for next week
I like Dunnell a lot.
But 0.08 and BJ are both quality players and we sorely missed 0.08's pace and zip in the packs to break open the game for us.
Wiles is a handy GOP...but BJ is much better. So while Watters would like three talls, with the young Siposs going well I think Wilkes may get squeezed.
Dunnell is stiff, BUT we are playing the Swans next week and they are in exceptional form.
We need our best possible 22.
Gwilt continues to be very poor by foot, and is almost in the team by default.

Agree with your changes, barring injury.dcstkfc wrote:Sydney at the SCG is a different sort of game. Can't see Dunell standng up with his body size in that environment.

Surely you can't be serious about Ray and Siposs, they were very good, and Simpkin kept his man quiet, took marks and showed great courage - doubt any of them will be tipped out.
No Contract, No contact

I don't think they deserve to be dropped, but are most expendableMCG-Unit wrote:Agree with your changes, barring injury.dcstkfc wrote:Sydney at the SCG is a different sort of game. Can't see Dunell standng up with his body size in that environment.

Steven is picked ahead of about 12 players at least. Plays regardlessSainterK wrote: and Steven should return if an injury.

Re: Changes for next week
Hi SS, I agree with your assessment of Sam D (and also the assessment you made of him in your previous post )Seaford_Saint wrote:The kid has "it"... and should be given every chance of showing "IT" off ... it was the fact that the boy DUNNELL can play... and very well at that!!!
I think Sam would be stiff to go out. He clearly transferred his VFL form to the higher competition! Sure, a couple of not so spot on kicks as well, but I'd put that down to nerves, slippery conditions and being his first game at that level.
I'd also be surprised if he was dropped after only one game, especially after the club having just gone to the effort of elevating him from the rookie list? What do others think...?
It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

Re: Changes for next week
Out Wilkes. Not sure who the other will be. Pressure for spots which is good. Dunnell was good. Ray might be in trouble, Goddard and Steven to come back in. I hope Scotty has had a word to BJ about letting the team down and having to have a big finish to the season.

Steven probably in our top 5 this year in B & F. So hes in.
So BJ and Steven in.
Beau out. Dunno who else should be out. WHoever it is will be either injured or very stiff.

Re: Changes for next week
I'm tipping that Wilkes papers were stamped during the second quarter...."NEVER TO RETURN".
So Wilkes and Dunnell out.
BJ and the drink driver in.
I don't think Joey will be an AC because it was a collision on the bone, if gets past the scan ok then he'll be good to go with a couple of needles.
