How's D Polo's form been lately in the VFL? If he hasn't been a standout I am not sure we need him back would rather a young'en to come in like Newnes or Curren.
The outs are pretty likely I agree.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
i don't quite understand how saad played out the whole game last week pretty well if he was injured, but maybe i'm missing something there. and if not injured he should definitely stay in.
dunell for steven seems the obvious one if that's the case. interesting that they're calling him a midfielder on the website, sounds more like a medium forward but i guess we'll see...

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Watching Saad play against the Bombers, he was clearly hampered by his knee injury and lacked his usual lightning speed. Full credit to him though, he toughed it out the whole game in adversity and made a good contribution. Considering he is part of our future (like Stanley), he shouldn't be risked if there is a chance for further injury. So if he is still struggling with the knee, it would be best to rest him.
In light of Sam Dunell's elevation and my concerns over Saad's knee, I'll have to alter my guess!
IN: Newnes, Dunell
OUT: Steven (suspended), Saad (injured)

He did play but that can happen. Didnt like the way he was moving and they also probably jabbed him. Not sure they will want to do that again this week. Anyway this is the quickest i have been wrong with the ins and outs. Dunnell obviously playing. Continues my 100% record of not getting the changes right once this year.

I don't care about the ins but it shyts me that JS got given a week by our own club. God bothering do-gooders have ruined the game.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
I think Milera is really skilful, but I would choose Newnes over him at this stage because I believe Newnes has more up-side and is willing to put his body on the line (which is something you can't teach, it comes from a young age).
Newnes got crunched one game early on in the season (can't remember who we played) and he looked groggy but came good in the second half and showed toughness, smarts, and skill. I like Newnes because he is prepared to take a hit.
I do like Milera but I reckon it would be better to stick him in the gym until the end of the season and let him work on his inside game in the VFL. Another pre-season for Milera and I reckon he will come back a better player next year. Both players are a part of our future and we're looking good for the next few years with these kids coming through.

You dont just pick one player over another. You would think if Saad was missing through injury then the obvious replacement is Milera. We havent seen anything to suggest Newnes could play as a small forward. They may change their structure but you would doubt it.

Be held back for a week or two.
IMO I'd have Peake or Polo in for Saad if injured.

In Dunnell Milera/Newnes
Out Steven Saad??
If the sardine is out with that knee injury I think either Milera or Newnes will be his replacement depending on the game plan for this week and whether we want more run (Milera) or a more hard ball winner (Newnes)

If Saad is out injured, then one of Newnes, Markworth, Milera or Peake could come in.....
A more like for like replacement for Steven, IMO would have seen Ledger, Ross (or Curren promoted) but doubt that's going to happen.

If Dunell comes in, and you would assume he will, it may not be Jack that he's replacing.MCG-Unit wrote:In: Dunell
