20 mins to go before we cheer on our little champ and we are once again out numbered two to one. So many vacant reserved seats.

I am sorry not to be there. Very sick at home. First game I have missed in Melbourne this year. Barracking at home even with a very sore throat. Go Sainters!

Been busy chasing other people's cattle and dogs; me and the family hate missing our reserved seats but work has to come first. At least we go to our home games unlike so many on this forum. It's just a 190km trip each way for us. We got to watch the game on TV tonight; a fantistic win ruined only by that idiot BT and his moronic comments.

No way, wherever I went - I moved around the ground level, I like to stand - there were way more St Kilda supporters in attendance, and that includes behind the goals where the Essendon cheer squad were stationed.
I don't know where you were, but I found just the opposite and the crowd noise certainly was more directed towards supporting the Sainters, and in particular, Milney.

No trains from Lan Kwai Fong, you would need to walk down to Central. Or grab a taxi.

I don't think we were outnumbered but one thing that did stand out from the opposite side of the ground was there were heaps of empty seats in our reserved seats areas of both level 1 and 3.

serious? on the top deck outer wing it was one of the quieter crowds i've ever heard. mostly dons supporters and most of the saints supporters barely made any noise.

I was there! No way I was missing my boys 250th...

You can listen to Bristle tell you Carlton are still a massive chance at 28 points down with two minutes to go, you can listen to him tell you all about Lorne, or you can watch a monkey on a pushbike...I know which I prefer...

It's interesting that, of all the supporter groups, Saints fans are the only ones who don't collectively call "BALL", the moment an opposition player is tackled (with or without the ball). There are times when Saints fan do call "BALL", that's when an opposition player dives on the ball, is tackled legally by a Saints player, gets up, while still being tackled, runs thirty metres, while still being tackled, drops the ball on the ground, while still being tackled, at which time the umpire has to make a decision whether it is holding the ball or holding the man. That's when we call "BALL!". The result is usually 50/50. I must admit, I am one of the offenders - it's a problem with actually knowing the rules of the game - a severe disadvantage to most opposition supporters, many commentators and some players.

Agreed matrix. Don't understand the mentality myself but know persoanlly of some who "satyed at home in the warmth" expecting a loss. Their loss in the end!

Have to say that nights like last night make the footy worthwhile. Winning when you're not expected is great fun.

Yep and imagine if those people who thought after last week we should tank for the rest of the year had got their way. That is why tanking is just not the right thing to do unless you reall are hopeless and then you dont need to tank anyway.

Watters seems to get us up for the clubs I hate the most - and I am tipping that the team he wants to beat the most is the Filth. Really looking forward to that one now.

Morphing into a Magpies supporter? (Hope you are feeling OK, last night would have cheered you up)
