Re: Simpkin
Was outstanding. Zero goals kicked on him. Did well on all of Hurley, Ryder and Hille at times. Is very courageous like Raph however is calm, makes good decisions and has very good skills.

I like how he knows when to concede a behind and not keep the ball alive, makes good decisions.

Great game, a new standard to live up to

Re: Simpkin
They stuffed up last week by leaving him out of the team, and not sure why they did, but Tommy made a statement tonight. The dilemna will be who do you drop when Macca, Stanley, Kosi, and Blake are all fit. I'd rather Tommy playing down back instead of Neil. Maybe Chips, Gilbo, Simpkin, Dempster, Gears and Jimmy Gwilt, with Neil basically as back up if one of the tall backs is out...or if both Macca and Stanley are out at the same time

I'd like him to keep 31. Whilst he isn't dissimilar to Max, I think he should make a name for himself with his own number without the pressure of living up to Max.

He's one of those guys that plays better in the seniors than in the reserves/Sandy.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Ten light years ahead of Raph. Fortunately I think we've seen the last of that dud Clarke.kos wrote:Just in front of raph at this stage

Don't think so as the gurnsey is already taken by someone already. While he has his faults, his courage cannot be questioned......SunburySaint wrote:Give him the number 8 Guernsey next year absolute quality... Really made our backline look good and very composed

Re: Simpkin
Simpkin showed how good he is when played in the right position, FB is beyond him.
He takes over from Blake as the "third tall" defender.

we can't compliment one of our own without of course belittling another can we?
