"Fee, Fie, Foe, Fum
I smell the blood of an Englishman"........................................ can't recall where that came from, some nursery rhyme in my dim dark past!!!!!!!!!!

By blocking people, it inhibits debate, which is what any forum stands for.
Just because some posters go Sooky la la over another poster, doesn't mean they should have the ability to block everything they write.
People need to grow up and just ignore things they don't like.
It's all a laugh. Part of the fun is stirring the pot at times, whilst at other times we are all a bit more level headed.
We are humans not robots, we change our style to fit the mood.
Blocking a person is black and white and means you miss everything - which includes a lot of good.
Mods - can we look at getting rid of the Foe list? Is it an option???
no ,i don't think so and i certainly would not support it being discontinued......i currently have three posters on my list....these three have done nothing but stalk and abuse me for years ...afaic they do nothing to enhance my enjoyment of this site and i don't intend to read anything any of these dropkicks post again....am i the poorer for this ?....no....is the forum better for not having to read threads constantly ruined because of these guys attacking me with offensive comments ??....you bet your flowing arse it is.........never again mate...never again...
...i am not a sook...just not prepared to add any further angst to a site that i once loved.....
...whilst none of the three could ever have an affect on me personally, that kind of abuse over a period of time can and has had serious consequences....

I think it is the best feature of the "new" site.
I have several posters on "Hide" whose posts I just find annoying, rambling, provocative for the sake of it, or just non value.
For me it has significantly improved my enjoyment of the site.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
I'm just seeing a blank thread… which suits me fine, I just love to read over my own fascinating insights over and over… good point dragit, spot on… I think you're right, brilliant observation.

Exactly. It's going well IMO.
And the forum has never been less spiteful - that's a great thing.
There are the posts that are stupid and can be ignored.
Then there are the posts that are so deluded or objectionable that they simply cannot be left to stand uncontested. Unfortunately, it takes time that I don't have and patience that is slowly wearing down; for them we have the Foe List.
It does no harm to anything, it helps avoid petty disputes. It encourages more focused discussion and more importantly, it doesn't censor anyone. in fact, if the alternative is banning certain people after complaints from enough posters, it actually encourages free speech.
One VALID reason please. Just one, for yet another mindless brainfart from the king.
Yes, the foe list is destroying this forum just like seatbelts are destroying the chance to gleefully watch heads go through windscreens. SP, you're a voyeuristic stirrer, getting more troll-like in every post. You've forced the inevitable.
Now you'll have to get your rocks off reading YouTube comments.
Just My Opinion
