What is the chance we could pull a Trent croad/Luke hodge style trade with Gc at seasons end involving Goddard?
It gives us the opportunity to rebuild with quality.
First pick Lachie Whitfield and possibly a Gc listed player in exchange for Goddard.
Thoughts?

This idea seems to ignore one important factor, i.e. that the player needs to agree to be traded.

Now that may not be a problem if GWS offer him millions to move. But if GC are only prepared to offer BJ about the same as us, or any other Melbourne based club, why we he agree to go there? He'd be unlikely to see a flag there in the time he has left in the game.

So unless GC makes him an enormous offer that he wants to accept I think you can forget all about this "plan".

I've always loved BJ and will be happy if he stays, but his on field performances and body language suggest he isn't enjoying his footy which in turn causes speculation about his future.
The post is hypothetical suggesting a trade which could be a best possible outcome if he does decide to leave.
God forbid the the harping that would occur if he left as a free agent to perhaps Carlton or freo!

I think it would be better if Beej left as well, but we'd get the compensation picks, not the #1 draft pick.

maybe some smarty pants are trying to talk his value down.
so i think gc need him pretty badly. they should throw the kitchen sink at BJ. they dont need any more kids.
