Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
Watters has been making tough decisions.
Saad, Milera, Stanley, Steven, Armo, Geary....all are the future.
Jones, Polo, Peake are not.
I'd expect him to make some more.

Would love to see Tom curren get a run he looks tough and a ball of enthusiasim, reckon he could run with someone and get his own footy.

No it wasn'tKick-it-lace-out wrote:This game was lost at the selection table.
Everyone lamented when Saad and Milera were out.
The pace came in with the three inclusions.
Wasn't lost at selection, was lost in the midfield/ruck.
Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
I thought at the start of the game I felt we were one midfielder too short.
Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
Was lost at selection swap raph for simpkin, Kosi for Wilkes, milera for siposs, gram for ray, Blake for jones with the possible inclusions of dunell cripps curren newnes in the near future.
Out with the old in with the new the old guard has lost its hunger to compete our season hinged on the infusion of fresh blood into the side.

wilkes is shite no need for him... delist him. watched some of him in sandy matches he's no fix. we need a new young tall forward.sainterinsydney wrote:Watters has to make some tough decisions. This team is a joke.

Can't swing it too far that way though.
Not sure it's quite the panic stations to throw out all the seniors.
Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
simpkin simply isnt afl ready. he's cooked by 1/4 time against decent sides. also gets caught out of position. clarke has is spot for me.
gram should be replace by ray. siposs for milera, who is in shocking form.
i question playing milne, saad and scheinder in the same side.

Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
Only players to hold their head high after this north game;
Geary, Dempster, Armo, Lenny, Stanley
I'd do this for Essendon....
OUT: Gram (omitted), Stanley (inj), Blake (inj), Goddard (sus)
IN: Ray, Siposs, Simpkin, Jones
Still not convinced on Wilkes and you can't have too many changes per round for team balance.
Imo, our midfield was killed and our game plan or style was really poor.
As usual, we continue to kick 15 points a game which is not good enough.
Also think we have been worse with McEvoy in our side, doesn't seem to win the taps to our advantage, and seemed lazy, didn't want to be a marking option for our kick outs.
And I'd be stumped if Jason Gram gets another game, worst on field by far...
As for Simpkin, he's fine for AFL, his first 10 games have been solid, and he puts a hard hit on. The only time I saw him struggle was against Jack Riiwoldt.

Are you serious , Simpkin shouldnt have been dropped in the the first place , how many times have you seen him play ? he was a little shakey in his first few games but just got better the more he played , he will make it for sure and i will bet my left one on it
And i thought this was a forum

simpkin is totally ready
just leave him in
wilkes is not great and not going to be the long term answer. but right here right now he is a better fwd than kosi. so get him in.

Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
Ok, serious question.
Everyone knows I support Kosi.
However why would he play if he and I quote 'wasn't quite right physically, but still in to play a role'
Talk about setting him up to fail, he is in the twilight years now....he isn't going to bring anything of value unless fully fit, even I know that.
Isn't that what Wilkes is for?

Re: Kosi, Blake out; Wilkes, Simpkin in
Milera has done nothing for weeks now, was awful as the sub. Saad had an off game but has a few credits for mine. Wonder if Kosi's terrible game meant that there just weren't opportunities for crumbing forwards

If we dropped Milne and Gram we'd be a very good chance to lose by 10 goalsBuckets wrote:Outs: Ins:

Love to know how you could say that , there is a fair chance the Dons will give us a 60 point touch up this week with you two guns in the sidedcstkfc wrote:If we dropped Milne and Gram we'd be a very good chance to lose by 10 goalsBuckets wrote:Outs: Ins:

everyone knows i am not kosi's no.1 fan, but seriously those who believe he still deserves a spot, why?
His form for a while now really has been horrible overall. Yes there are a 2 or 3 stand outs each year but overall i see nothing.
Why are we not playing Wilkes for him? Watters needs to make a few changes and fast if we want any chance of making the 8 this year.
