If you react, you are falling in for it. My approach from the start with sledging has been to ignore it or laugh. Normally, worse stuff comes over the fence than from inside it anyway - like the bloke who said ''surely it wasn't that cold when you were taking the photos'' and stuff like that. I thought it was funny and just laughed it off..............."

its funny how some people are driven by passion and agression, and some players just prepare and play....

I had no problem with, because I generally viewed it as a compliment, or as a weakness that your opponent felt he needed to do it to stop you.

It seems that Peace is pretty easily put off his game...

Couldn't aggree more. That is why older generations taught "sticks and stones".

For crying out loud. They are words. Not bullets.

We are teaching generations of childeren to be so oversensitive that they just won't be able to cope with the smallest of issues in life.

There is now whole industries and billions of dollars spent on providing protection laws, mediation centres and all types of over the top policing to protect people from worrds. WORDS!

Grow some I say or just ignore it. It usually takes the oxygen out of it.

Probably because it's against the law Plugger. Hard to allow it to continue if they are legislating against it for broader society.

Do you verbally abuse your children just to toughen them up? No, well then why is someone else allowed to. Yes then you are living in the past.

Words and how we use them demonstrate the level of maturity of our society

Abuse shows a lack of that.

Also the football field is now a work place (eg players now have a duty of care) so are you allowed to abuse your fellow workers. No, funny that so why are the footballers different.
