Just wondering where you get your stats from?
From watching the games, it does appear that Saad does get a lot of goal assists, and he is involved in a lot of contests and chains of play where we score.
However, is there actual stats to back this up? I notice that the AFL website only lists Saad as having 4 goal assists for the whole year, and 0 for the Gold Coast game.
But I don't think that stat does justice to the impact he is having without the ball.
I can remember he did tap the ball in space to Dal Santo who goaled against Gold Coast.
And he also did tap the ball to Milera who goaled against Richmond (in the goal square).
I doubt these "taps" would count as a goal assist.
And in his debut game against the Hawks, he was involved in some scoring chains. He also seems to make the right decision most of the time when he has the ball.
And his defensive pressure causes opposition defenders to rush their disposal.
A lot to like about Saad.
Contrast the above observations by bakes....backed up with hard stats from Teflon...and then here's an example below of most Saints fans views on Milney as enunciated by Kalsaint;

Milney to stay. He is a big part of the club when on the ground and certainly inspires others around him and keeps others honest (like Roo before he got his 500 goals).
I just love the bloke and love his antics even when on the boundary line responding to others in the team.
Forget about who's been a 'big part of the club' and focus on the likely scenario as per what's been delivered in finals and in crunch games on way too many occasions.
Hard decisions need to be made if we are going to be contenders. Malthouse did it with Lockyer and Medhurst in 2010...Lyon did it with Maxy too.
