Re: Coaches' Votes Round 11
Fairly reflective of the game...Other than Roo it was hard to find stand out performances.
If my logic is correct then only three players (Roo, Armo and one of Blake, Dal and Gram) got votes from both coaches.

And one of the ones who didn't was Jack Steven, who got four votes from one coach and none from the other.Life Long Saint wrote:...If my logic is correct then only three players (Roo, Armo and one of Blake, Dal and Gram) got votes from both coaches.

Re: Coaches' Votes Round 11
Possible combinations given the votes given are 5,4 ,3,2,1elizabethr wrote:How do you work that out please?perfectionist wrote:And one of the ones who didn't was Jack Steven, who got four votes from one coach and none from the other.Life Long Saint wrote:...If my logic is correct then only three players (Roo, Armo and one of Blake, Dal and Gram) got votes from both coaches.
10 Riewoldt (St K)-- Must be 5 + 5
5 Armitage (St K)- either 4 + 1 or 2 + 2---
4 Steven (St K)- 4 or 2 + 2
3 Blake (St K) - 3 alone or 2 + 1
3 Dal Santo (St K)- 3 alone or 2 + 1
3 Gram (St K)- 3 alone or 2 + 1
2 Goddard (St K)- 2 alone or 1 + 1
so eliminating obvious voting excess of 2's would suggest Armo got 4+ 1
so leaves 2 X 2 and 1 'X 1
as the 3's require the 2's to make sense then Jack must have the 4 alone
meaning 2X5 is gone 2 x 4 is gone , 1X 1 is gone
so 1 X 1 left meaning 2 of the 3's are available
hence 1 of Dal Gram and Blake is 2 + 1 and the others are 3 alone
with BJ getting the 2

Re: Coaches' Votes Round 11
Nick got ten, so he must have scored five from both coaches.elizabethr wrote:How do you work that out please?perfectionist wrote:And one of the ones who didn't was Jack Steven, who got four votes from one coach and none from the other.Life Long Saint wrote:...If my logic is correct then only three players (Roo, Armo and one of Blake, Dal and Gram) got votes from both coaches.
David got five, so he must have got 4 from one coach and one from the other.
That leaves a four vote from the other coach, which must have gone to Jack (none of the others have four votes to allocate). Therefore, he did not score a vote from the other coach.

Re: Coaches' Votes Round 11
Well...Let's start with the easy parts...elizabethr wrote:How do you work that out please?perfectionist wrote:And one of the ones who didn't was Jack Steven, who got four votes from one coach and none from the other.Life Long Saint wrote:...If my logic is correct then only three players (Roo, Armo and one of Blake, Dal and Gram) got votes from both coaches.
10 votes to Roo...That means that each coach gave him the full 5 votes each.
That means that for Armo to get five votes he needs the two coaches to give him (4-1 or 2-3) because the 5 votes is not available...We'll keep this one aside for a minute.
Now it gets trickier...
Let's go to Goddard on two votes...This can come via a 2-0 or 1-1 split. Given that three players are on three votes the 1-1 option is gone as three players got three votes which means that one coach had to give Blake, Dal Santo or Gram one vote. This also takes the 2-3 option away for Armo.
So we are left with.
Roo 5-5
Armo 4-1
BJ 2-0
Dal Santo, Blake and Gram have 3-0, 0-3 and 1-2 (we can't tell which player gets which combination)
This also takes the 2-2 and 3-1 option away for Steven leaving 4-0.
Hope that helps...
