That's a shame we're absolutley poor in that area.

I Know.... Would love to have drafted perhaps 1 kid in the draft over 193

We have about 30 HBFers

After seeing Minchington I can't believe we got him with our last rookie pick

He is as good as aany of the boys we picked up in the draft

Good body size, finds goals regularly will be promoted once Milne retires

P.S - very few Kpp's look AFL level when they are 19 and 85 kgs.....give him time to put on some muscle

That raises serious questions for Pelchen at Trade/Draft time. Will he be ruthless enough to axe excess middle sized players for KPPs and team needs? He seems to have a pretty good handle on it but this is an important transition time for the club.

Our top end players pose the question - do we risk trading one to balance the team needs?

It's not just about his size, he like Gilbert plays like a running back.... He is not a big bloke, doubt he ever will be...

Would you call Gilbo a big bloke? he is 194cm

he's the same height as stephen silvagni, taller than matthew scarlet, taller than glen jackovich, taller than harry taylor. want me to keep going?

the only thing he needs to do is put on weight. which he's been doing. lets remember he's still 3 years off of being the right age to have an impact.

He is 19 or 20. His old man is a monster. His body shape will change. It could have this year but he put on to much weight and was told to lose a few KG's. It will happen over a period of time. He will eventually be a CHB or a FB but may start as a HBF in the AFL.

Let's hope Buddy doesn't become the same size as his old man... Jeez

Or Arryn Siposs (well hed have to shrink first)

And me too, my old mans 6'1" and around 95k..... I'm around 80

How could his body shape have changed this year?? Your body shape is determined by shoulder width and chest size
Did his bones expand and then detract??

Whilst you can increase your body size, your shape will remain

If you put on weight your shoulders can get bigger or are all swimmers born with big shoulders. He can put on weight as shown this year but was asked to lose some as they want to do it slower. Sorry but I think the size of your family is important. Wow there are exceptions. Who would have guessed. And fancy me suggesting he can eventually play CHB when you know otherwise. Sorry to disagree with you. You know more for some reason. Just havent worked out why though.

I could have sworn Corey McKernan had a huge change in body shape in one season. Must be my imagination. The people I feel real sorry for are the Mothers of body builders. Imagine how hard the birth would be.

Can now be elevated without the need of a LTI on any list.

Could Jarryn Geary become Mr Universe

Not sure he has the carriage to support a massive rig

Really, you need width of shoulders and depth of chest.... And then add on

I reckon a lot of sumo wrestlers come from other sumo's or indeed have mothers who can cook.

I reckon it's more about the way in which he plays which is more significant. He was clearly beaten one on one by a similare aged Haretuku but killed it on the rebound.

Im unsure we want Ferg to be Mister universe but at least you havent exaggerated. Simpkin is playing PK and Max also did. Ferg will put on more weight and become stronger if they want him. As I said he was told to lose some of the weight he put on in pre season but of course that doesnt matter. It wrecks the discussion. And of course he couldnt play on Brown or Cloke at the moment but he is 19 years old. I actually thought BJ put on to much weight a few years ago and got to big. Again I maybe wrong. And finally I reckon Ferg eats so he probably does cook.

And do honestly say doing certain weights doesnt broaden the shoulders. Well that I doubt very much. Matter of fact it can if you do the right weights.

What would I know

I only have a sports science degree with honors in exercise physiology.

In some ways you're right..... But to say anyone can add significant size to the frame is wrong, you can add muscle which may thicken the shoulders/chest by an inch, perhaps two.... Three fo arguments sake if a person went nuts and got heavy and slow

But frame refers to skeletal width... That won't change... Some people have a body type, shape which carries weight naturally... Troy Schwarze did 7 pre seasons, Brooks 6, Stone 5......Tim Wall 3???

We haven't even discussed metabolism, ligament/joint efficiency, muscle fibre composition, training principles?

Jackson (like Gilbo/Raph) is a fairly light frame, he's not a heavy by any means.... Siposs would have a bigger BMI. He will of course put weight on in time like Rooey. But the Argument again is more about his style of play.... He's a running back from what I've seen.... And he moves well

For someone with a sports science degree you dont make a lot os sense. Does every weight lifter only put on 3 inches at the most around there shoulders? Anyway failing that rubbish what position did Max play or Tom at the moment. They arent overly big but are obviously strong. Ferg will get bigger and stronger. He is 19. Your wife must get pissed off as you really do go early.
