Laughing at this. I stayed at the same hotel as the team and saw Cripps loading his gear into the bus and looking for all the world like he was going to play. Saw him training and moving freely the day before and couldn't believe he didn't line up, thought it was funny how well they keptht eh final team under wraps until the last possible minute.

IMO Scotty is doing the right thing by the club and the players. Why give away anything to your opponents. The players who are vying for a spot are still a chance to play. The younger ones still get extra team bonding can't see one negative for us.
Players have been injured in warm ups prior to a match before. Everyone in contention has a chance to get a bit of extra massage etc
May have to get used to the Saints being more professional!

Maybe the AFL should just get clubs to name 25 man squads that are all finalized only 90 minutes Prior to game time.

If you're interested in betting go and watch the trots. (Incidentally, that's what this thread is giving everyone around here). Who the hell cares about "betting implications'? This is about winning games of football.
