David Armitage
I thought he was easily our best player tonight. We actually looked dangerous when he was near the ball. Hopefully, he can carry his Docklands form to a few other grounds in the near future.
Re: David Armitage
Played the game out very well after a reasonably slow start. Good on him, was on the fringes early in the year but played more good ones than bad ones. This was a good sign, not his best game but still a good contributor in the end.

Not consistent enough for mine. He could do worse than ask Gilbert to be a mentor. Sam has played exactly the same game week in week out for 18 months. Mr consistency.

Until he has a poor one next week and you will want him dropped.

Armo is brilliant at the moment, and has had a few good weeks. Year in fact. Brave boy, and got some terrific skills. Great shot for goal. Doesn't miss them too often.

Gutsy, honest, hard-working player.
If he keeps at it he'll be a 200-gamer.
Same goes for Jack.

Re: David Armitage
He's as tough as nuts... A few hits won't stop him.
He's been in out best three 5 times this season... That's reasonable in my book.
Some players go through the season and don't get in the top 3
He is one of our better players........ Where's Rob Eddy?? Do you reckon he could ever be one of the best players in the team??

Great game from Arma. Took a few hits and looked in trouble with his knee(??) at one stage. Did well to push through it. Really starting to find his feet.
Good on ya Dave, keep it up!

Armo, he's a tank! Goes in hard. Gave his all last night. Tiger fans near me were expressing their admiration of Armitage after the game on the bottom level near aisle 36.

Looks very fit and knows his role. His spread has improved out of site. What happen to Steven? Didn't look fit.

Has definitely improved this year. Needed to and has. Has stepped right up. Great article on him during the week as well. Showed real character to hang around and persevere. He and Jack are the keys to our immediate future I reckon.

Very good game for Armo. Most importantly, like Steven, he seems to be the goalkicking mid we have been looking for over the years. Both averaging just under a goal a game.

Re: David Armitage
I reckon he'd back himself against Mike Tyson too. He certainly shows no fear. I remember an article written a few years back about his junior years where he had his ear almost torn off from diving into the bottom of a back. Obviously doesn't give that much thought in the heat of a game.felix wrote:Did you see his face at the end of the game , looked like he had gone 15 rounds with mike Tyson .

Love watching this guy play. Think he will be the next Lenny Hayes. Well as close as anyone will ever get to that anyway!!
