If a side cant come up with a legit clash strip it shouldnt be our problem.

Richmond wears their "clash" jumper presumably because there is too much black in it. Then they wear black shorts and the home team wears white. Where's the logic in that?

The problem with footy clash jumpers is they try to be too much like footy jumpers. They should be a single color including the shorts with just a hint of the original colors.

I've been following Bayern Munich and when they came out with this clash jumper I had to buy one.

Whilst i couldn't care less what colour shorts we wear , Its the principal of the matter !!!
WE are the HOME TEAM , so WE should wear our HOME Strip .

unfortunately nothing about the Afl is really fair , smaller clubs get shafted all the time , and if you dig your heels in about an issue and ruffle their feathers , they simply put a mark against you , to F@#$ you over at a later date .

I agree, I think it's the jumper that's important. I know it really irks some, but the old rule of the away team wears white shorts hasn't been consistent for years.

If your home jumper has more white in it and it helps avoid a clash I don't have an issue with it.

I think the cats always wear white shorts against the pies, so both teams can wear their normal jumper.

Sports psychology around playing in your 'home' colours. I'm passionate about our home strip with black shorts. For me it's a crime and fills me with unkind thoughts about people running our club.

They NO LONGER have a rule that the away side needs to wear white shorts. The rule is that there must be a contrast to the home side. There are many ways you can interpret this rule but it comes down to the AFL not having the gonads to stand up to Essendon (and Collingwood for a while). The host broadcasters also get a say and we all know of the incestual relationship between Ch7 & Essendon !!

An intelligent and reasonable AFL administration would see that the HOME team wears their normal strip and the AWAY team does whatever necessary to avoid a clash.

We comply with an alternate strip for away games which in itself should entitle us to wear our home strip at home.
