Re: Saints v/s Swans Game Day thread
Gee,got a read on this wrong. Somehow we've jumped away. Pressure has lifted immensly, and the forward line structure at the moment is light years way from the Freo game...
Need to keep going though,Swans will find something

Just nice hard at the man play - controlling the footy completely. Swans can't get it out of their half.would like a few more goals as a reward. Kosi had it and went without it - wasting inside 50s.

Really need to convert. I've lost count of the inside 50s without a score.

Great second quarter - but missed the opportunity to almost close the gate.
Could come back to bite us.

Someone needs to tell Rooey to at least think a little bit about his kicking for goal. I know he is trying not to think too much about a shot, but don't just blaze away, for gods sake!

Re: Saints v/s Swans Game Day thread
First half summed up our season perfectly. Looked like a very ordinary football side in the first quarter who were probably fortunate to be that close.
Then the second quarter came out and looked like a very good side. As we got completly on top and the swans pushed back we failed to take a couple of chances. Probably should be 5-6 goals up which is amazing after the first quarter. Got a couple of charities in front of goal also...the Roo one was a disgrace, but he needed to nail it,other sides take advantage of there gifts against us
At quarter time I was looking through the side and the lack of input from certain players. Armitage was one. Then to his credit he came out in the second quarter and played possibly his best quarter for the club......again symbolic of our year
Far from confident,as who knows what Stkilda side will come out after half time. the very good one,or the mediocre one? Game on!

28 to 15 inside 50's. Dominating but not converting. Lets hope we can convert at a better rate next half.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Umpires look like they are trying to square up for the first 8 weeks.

After quarter time it's a 180 turn around feeling, but ever the pessimist as a saint ,is the thought lingering in the back of the mind of the trip to Perth just last sunday night....

I can't believe that Jack Steven soccered the ball through when Goddard had the free 10m out again!
That ball could have gone anywhere.
Great quarter. Brownlow votes for Blake.
