''Our best football is good enough to beat anyone. I firmly believe that.'' - Scott Watters

Although a simple comment, not unlike what any other coach would say about their group, there is something about him which has me up and about. I think it's his determination and intensity. He is a man who knows what he wants, he has a plan and he is hell bent on success.

It may not happen this year...but we are in good hands. I firmly believe that.

A bit like our Ex Coach Lyon. Hopefully is just as good or better.

Maybe you should just drop down and blow Ross the boss and be done with it? Maybe then your infatuation with our ex-coach will pass and you can start to enjoy the present for what it is and your neck will stop hurting from looking backwards all the time.

He saw something in the Saints.

I can see it.

Certainly haven't written off this year yet.

Loving Watters. Really happy with his appointment.

Happy with the on-field results for a first year coach so far.
We have been more attractive to watch, while maintaining a strong defensive edge.
Players seem to be enjoying playing under him.

Interesting that Lyon comes in at number 17 on The Age most powerful people in footy:
17 - Ross Lyon
Senior coach, Fremantle Football Club
When Lyon, 45, switched from St Kilda to Fremantle late last year, one pundit called his actions "deceitful, duplicitous and distasteful". Others said it was the most decisive play in Docker history. Whichever way you saw his move out west (at Mark Harvey's expense), his skills as a coach (including introducing the forward press) are beyond doubt. One expert said St Kilda's strangulation of the opposition in 2009/2010 "could be the best coaching performance of the last 30 years".

If a team can escape injury and get themselves in a good spot, there will be a surprise premier this year

Have a feeling it might be a good year to snatch one, west coast are in a good position ATM

Waters is an excellent St Kilda ambassador. Very media friendly.

Hasn't shone like Sanderson, hasn't stunk like Neeld. Jury out, but players definitely enjoying footy more than last year. Whether this is more down to the Lenny Hayes factor, or down to Watters is open to debate.
I'm happy enough with him, but not necessarily impressed...yet.

Probably because he's managed to screw us and screw out of the Dockers a million dollars at the same time.

I think Watters' comments are absolutely correct.
