ohhhhh P66 was sooo close...

I recon he wanted to go the Siposs/Wilkes change, but erred on the side of caution...

Very happy...

Cripps holds his spot - and still no Ledger, even as emergency.

Strong side though.

Still may be some changes, you never know with Watters - wait until 90 min before game time.

Tom Simpkin named at Full Forward..... WTF..... Also with that emergency list and interchange bench it just stinks of late change

Risky.

Schneids would make a great sub for one quarter but if we had an early injury, he'd struggle to play out much more than one and half quarters at the moment IMO.

You would think Simpkin would be ideal to play on Sam Reid.....

i like this team as a gamble, though obviously it won't line up exactly in the positions selected. more like:

FB: Gilbert, Simpkin, Geary
HB: Dempster, Gwilt, Gram
C: Montagna, Hayes, Goddard
HF: Steven, Riewoldt, Armitage
FF: Milne, Koschitzke, Saad
R: Blake, Dal Santo, Jones
IC: Ray, Siposs, Cripps, Milera

i hope siposs gets a full game, maybe milera for sub this week for a bit of a rest? though he's been good.

lots of small, hard-working players in the side so it looks like the gameplan will have to change a bit, rather than just bombing it long to the talls. that could be a really good thing though.

We'll never know until he gets a chance will we.

Who has been playing better at Sandy that hasn't had a chance with the Saints yet? Do you think

Cripps
Siposs
Wilkes
Saad

Have been in better form at Sandy than Ledger this year. You obviously don't like him. That's fine, but you obviously don't watch Sandy either.

Something smells.

If he gets his chance and does no good, fair enough.

He deserves his chance.

Is this the shortest/smallest Saints side ever?
Are we playing in the under 90kg/under 190cm super rules league?

I think the shortest may have been when Jezza was coach and he seemed to try and get as many players who were shorter than him into the team as possible.

That and when the saints first started as people were a lot shorter back then...

Chillax ledger fans…

He's going well at sandy, but it must be mainly a match-up positional thing… Hayes, Dal Santo, Steven, Jones, Montagna, Armitage, Goddard - pretty solid midfield to dislodge, and Ledger seems like a pure mid, He'll get his chance, especially if one or two of those guys get injured…

I'm not saying Simpkin can't play forward, but he's been our best defender all year. Could be interesting, or utter BS

Shame we couldn't have had Ledger play on Walsh… the Messiah match-up - Messiah 2.0 vs Messiah 3.0

no
whilst we are short of any really big ones

most of the side are over 190

weight wise 80 - 85 kg is how you want them , any heavier they slow up !

macevoy is listed as 98 kg , our heaviest
