Awful this quarter p66 - if you can't see it you simply don't know what you're talking about.plugger66 wrote:desertsaint wrote:Good effort by the lads but I can't watch it - the umps simply won't blow obvious frees for us.
Pathetic umpiring - intimidated by the crowd or whatever - very, very poor.we're getting one of every two blatant frees paid at best.
Seriously I do wonder about some people. The umpiring has been very good.

18 to 11 frees after being even at half time. The umpires are crap- we are winning the ball and they are trying to find frees.

I would love to watch a game thinking they are cheating. Must be so much fun. Come on Saints.

Good quarter, that's the sort of footy we want to see
We're still a long way down, but that's the sort of performance that they needed to put in given the terrible first half.

Re: Saints v west coast game thread
Could it be a repeat of the famous comeback against Collingwood in 2010, where Rooey and Fisher went off injured? My concern is we only have two on the bench now, so it will take a monumental effort to get over them. However, we have shown enough that we are a good team, and I think we should roll Swans next week. Haven't given up, but it's going to be tough.

All about run and momentum that quarter. Milera, Saad, Armo, Cripps and Steven into the game and made massive difference

Umpires have been good. No complaints from me..
Koschitzke needs to lift and stop giving away free kicks and Goddard needs to worry about getting a kick and not fighting. Really suspect down in defence.

The radio announcers are going mental because of the crap umpiring so it's not just me. The warm weather isn't conducive to a limited bench. If we can beat the heat umpires and west coast we are awesome.

It's being one-eyed. I have always been one-eyed. But there were some obvious things. We are not getting the soft ones that they 'seem' to get.plugger66 wrote:gringo wrote:You are an embarrassing apologist.

Re: Saints v west coast game thread
P66, Goddard had an obvious free kick not paid to him, yet 25 seconds later, one of their big goons, was paid the free kick Goddard didn't get.
Umpire's are inconsistent and as Gerard Healy said, not enough St.Kilda supporters there to influence the decision.
However that was a great third quarter, except for Cripps, and again showed how exciting this team can be.
Just wonder how much it took out of them as West Coast probably didn't come out after half time with the same intensity, but we we're good enough to take advantage.
I didn't expect to win today, just don't want to get blown away.
But still think the 6 day break and travel is a factor, interesting to note that we have been flat after our previous Monday night games as well.

Umpiring. FFS. Roo one end, no arm chopping, then straight up the other, hands in the back. We must be getting a bit clodse.
