i was going to post a thread about this, Lyon footy showing cracks. from what i heard on radio knockers where never in it. I am very happy Lyon left and we have movced away from that style. I was getting sick of all the people telling me how s*** Saints games are to watch.

They will be fine. We had a few bad loses when Ross first came.

Yes, but in 2009 and 2010, we got a big jump on the other teams strategically.
Ross has one default game plan and it never varies.
Numbers behind the ball. Employ a sweeper across half back. Avoid man on man at all costs. Frustrate the opposition by chipping the ball around, sometimes kicking backwards the entire length of the ground. When the opposition are so frustrated that they try to take you on, employ a flood, get the ball to ground, create a stoppage and sweep the ball out of defence, then kick to Riewoldt (and only Riewoldt), who may not mark it, but Milney will swoop.
Problem is there is no Riewoldt at Freo and the poor man's Milne, Ballantyne, only kicks half the number of goals that Milney does.
They will struggle big style in the second half of the season if he doesn't stop being lazy and change that game plan.
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

I thought Collingwood invented it again in 2010

I hope anyone who thinks we should have hung on Zac has watched this game.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

No. He had 4 goals kicked on him and the Hawks had all the play. Impossible for their backline.

Will win many games at home. Away they will be found out by sides that are any good. Freo are Freo. Good luck Ross.

Your mates in the umpiring community would have got a nice plastic bag full of cash from the betting syndicates for that game we won in every facet except hit outs which we stole in clearances and free kicks. We were either given a pay back for complaining about the umpires or they are on the take.
Anyway Plugger I know you would rather we finish in the bottom few for the next 4 years so you can look like your impeccable football knowledge is correct but may be you should actually add something rather than being confrontational.

What are you on about. You really have strange ideas on what I hope for. I want to win every game and the flag every year but i dont think we will do either. I think we finish will finish between 7th and 10th. What is wrong with thinking that. I hope I am wrong. Certainly doesnt make me a worse supporter than you. Matter of fact i am a great supporter of our club and will back myself that i have done much more for our club than at least 95% of people on this board. I add plenty to this board but you post as much as me and when some people write crap they need to be picked up on it. Maybe you shouldnt worry about what I write and add something to this board. And yes my knowledge of footy is impeccable but so is MM and Leigh Matthews. I doubt they get the ladder right every year or pick 9 winners every week.
As for the umpires I hope you are joking or your knowledge of footy isnt impeccable. I will take it as a joke.
Re: Rossy's mob getting a nice old touch up by Hawthorn
Whilst I am thrilled about Simpkin's emergence, I remain concerned about our ability to counter the top quality Tall attacks eg Hawthorn... and I wondered if that might be where we would miss Dawson.... on the evidence of yesterday... Zac is not the key.dragit wrote:monsterred?Bernard Shakey wrote:I hope anyone who thinks we should have hung on Zac has watched this game.
Thus Dawson on big $$ OUT + Simpkin on less $$ IN = WIN for Saints
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...
