yeah and our next 2009 maybe years away, but Joey has been far from our worst.
If we stay reasonably competitive, give the young players some game time and hopefully pick up another decent ruck and KPP we may reload.

Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

Crime does pay,
I see the AFL is "investigating" another Judd $500,000 "business" transaction…
Let me guess "After thorough investigation the AFL has found no wrong doing by either Chris Judd or the Carlton Football Club, we are happy with the information provided and will not be pursuing the matter any further"
Gotta hand it to Carlton, they were caught cheating before, but kept their premierships, so why not do it again… a few years at the bottom again after a flag or two won't hurt that much…

It's funny how hypocritical some saints fans are so quick to hang Carlton out and their "criminal" allegations yet get all bent out of shape when people say stuff about Milney ...

You're talking chalk and cheese. It's a known fact that a couple of their players (Nicholls) and past president (Elliott) have been on the wrong side of the law whereas Milney has never been charged.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:It's funny how hypocritical some saints fans are so quick to hang Carlton out and their "criminal" allegations yet get all bent out of shape when people say stuff about Milney ...

Trav, I think you are missing the point a little, after hours criminal activity aside, they have cheated the salary cap and won premierships… They are at it again… See how you feel when BJ goes there next year on $200,000

I just hope we stay with them for at least half, maybe three quarters of the game.
Unfortunately though, they can do a lot of scoreboard damage in one term.

Settle in to 2012? Once tonights game has been played, then essentially a third of the season has been played. The time to "settle in" has been and gone, if such a period even exists.whiskers3614 wrote: Armchair experts should let the coach and players settle in to 2012 footy before we start bagging them!

Re: At 10.30pm on Monday, Carlton will top the ladder.....
This place is going to get ugly tonight. I think we are a chance to lose by a very big margin tonight. Possibly 100+. Our CHB and No 1 ruckman out. Goddard is going to struggle with Chips not being there to take on the contested mark and the Carlton smalls will have a field day. Joey will look like one of those statues on the outside of the MCG and Roo as usual will run his guts out but that's all he seems to have these days and to ensure he doesn't have a rare day out Carlton will double team him. With Kosi needed in the ruck our forward line looks bad unless milne can pull one out of the hat but I don't think the Carlton midfield will let it enter our forward 50 too many times. Hope I'm wrong but on paper it doesn't look good. I'm going to be there in any case because I love he team. Go the Saints.

God we might as well not turn up. Possibly 100+ loss on the cards. Might as well watch Delta and Seal on The Voice!
There is realism and then there is Pessimism!
Carlton struggled last in the first 3 quarters last week against GWS.
Last year in the same fixture when we were travelling far worse we lost by just under a kick and that was without Lenny, Roo having an absolute shocking year.
I reckon that Carlton are about the same if not just a tiny bit better than last year. Do they deserve favouritism. Bloody oath have been good all year.
Does that mean that we might as well not go and watch or have some sort of belief....
NOT ON YOUR FARKING LIFE!
CARN THE SAINTS!
Looking forward to seeing a few changes to playing positions tonight.
Looking forward to seeing Wilkes up forward.

i too think they will beat us
i tipped them
but they could easily have an off night and us to fire
sadly i think the small forwards will kill us
plus their foot skills i think are much better
looking forward to the game
will give us a good indication of where we are at and what we lack, just over a quarter of the way thru the season.

Our forwards are going to be a massive handfull for them.
Sure they have two specialised ruckman, but let's look at the fact we'll be far more athletic and easily less clunky.
Essendon smashed them by putting them under constant pressure, wasn't that long ago the boys were capable of applying a bit of that, or is that just something that we used to know?
We'll find out I guess.

I think it is a bit of Gotye. Hopefully we get it back tonight. Not sure there ruckmen are clunky as you put.

Clunkier than Stanley and Blake.
Which is how I'm going to look at it

It will be intersting to see how much of the game Stanley will ruck for, hopefully he can take another big step tonight. I would think that he is athletic enough to go with their rucks.
