I have heard Essendum are very angry at st.kilda for picking up Sam Dunell.

I actually think he is someone to watch over this year.

Maybe a flag or two in the next few years will ease their pain…

Maybe we could offer a swap - Ross & Dunnell for Heppell & Hurley

Have you heard how pissed we were at Essendon making Lovett out to be a "top bloke" before we gave up our first round draft pick for him? I think this would currently pale into insignificance compared to that.

Hearing good things about him from those that have seen Sandy live this year, though, which is great.

Is it correct that we're able to automatically upgrade someone from the rookie list at the half way mark of the season, if we don't have anyone on the LTI list?

Agreed re Lovett.

So sad, too bad to them if we're smart enough to have picked Sam Dunnell up.

One to us.

Essendon had picks before us and could've picked up Seb Ross in the National Draft and Sam Dunnell in the Rookie Draft if they had've wanted to.

Instead they picked up Elliot Kavanagh and Lauchlan Dalgleish respectively.

It was their call.

If anything Ross and Dunnell should be very angry at Essendon for not picking them 8-)

Is that the situation? If so, who would we promote, Dunnell, Currren, or Ferguson?

Whats the point of a rule like that?
You have to wait till the half-way point of the season…

I also asked that question (are we able to upgrade someone at the half way point?) on the Saints board on BF and Squizzy1970 (who gives the detailed Sandy reports each week as well as Thunda) replied: "Yes (albeit has to fit within the cap which shouldn't be too hard now that rookies get a decent wage)." I reckon he's as likely as anyone on these forums to know, so I take it it's true.

On the handful of games i've seen him play, Im super enthusiastic about Dunnell..

Has enormous ability and tricks, keeps his feet, and wins all/most one on one contests, both on the ground or in the air...

I have him ahead of Saad this year on VFL form...

If he keeps working hard, I'm certain he has what it takes to make it...

The kid is a gun.

Plain and simple.

Will be a player..

IF he keeps going like this, he would be demanding promotion if required.

And seriously, who GIVES A FLOG if Essendon are all upset we took him.

Fkn bunch of Cleveland Steamers.

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
