Really happy with this bloke, has got a bit tougher at the contest too.
Got to sell the best candy going around...that effort on the wing in the last qtr was brilliant

Re: Milera
yer, did some real nice 1% "got a hand in there" stuff that impressed me and committed to contest.
I like the fact that hes rounding out his game with this - very impressed with his game tonight.

Did his bit, not a gun but adds flair and working harder around the footy.

Yep - three or four times he got a knock on the ball in pack situations just as Melb looked likely to clear.
He does the desperate stuff as well as the glamorous stuff.

Re: Milera
Watching the replay. His tackling and pressure resulted in a number of our goal or at least turn overs.
This guy is a gun. His disposal and goal count does not reflect the effect he has on games.
We've found a beauty.

Re: Milera
An article during the week on Mozzie and Wanga said he was trying to do more with out the ball. I'd say he did well in that area and was going second and third efforts and putting his head over the ball. Can't wait until he explodes into where his potential lies, he will seriously burst games open at some point.

Re: Milera
True, but for a guy only having just joined the club, and not having played at AFL level before he is doing very well.spert wrote:Maybe I'm hard to please, but although he's got some flashy skills, he would need to do a lot more work on his defensive game.
With each game and training session he will learn more of the "role" that he needs to fulfill beyond his natural game.

Re: Milera
his defencive side of the game is probably better than all of our fwds. rewatch the game he's in alot of the turn overs that result in goals. can hurt the opposition as well which is something mcqualter and eddy could never do!!!spert wrote:Maybe I'm hard to please, but although he's got some flashy skills, he would need to do a lot more work on his defensive game.

You could see two thoughts going through his head last night, dive on the ball and make a contest or keep my feet like the coach told me kind of stuff. He will settle down with some experience and stop thinking too much, he wasn't rewarded but he put his head over the ball plenty of times. I like what he brings, heaps of poise and a bit of Peake like speed. Overall like a better skilled Peake of the future mixed with some Winmar magic.

However, he has displayed potential to become one. Let's see where he is as a player in two years.dcstkfc wrote:not a gun

Re: Milera
I really liked his game on Saturday night.
Head over the ball in every contest, didn't shirk his responsibility once.
Watched the second half again this morning, and he hardly got a clean posession, but was in fighting for the ball at every opportunity and I think he earned himself a free or two.
Recruited for his run, but couldn't be happier with his efforts in conditions not suited to him. Gavin Waganeen and more importantly, the coaches would have been wrapt in the effort he gave on Saturday night.
A big thumbs up.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

The effortless weave thru traffic to hit Stanley lace-out in the last quarter was pretty nice....I wish some his more illustrious teammates could provide that sort of service to our forwardsjoffaboy wrote:I really liked his game on Saturday night.

Re: Milera
Skeptic said 'composed' when describing Terry and i think that sums up his initial foray into afl very well. I've liked what he brings from the start altho i saw virtually none of the PA game. Don't go the fox way.
I feel he is always switched on and aware of what is happening in play, he appears ready to take opportunities when they arise. I'm hoping that playing every week just becomes the norm for him and we soon forget how new to us he is.
Enjoying Milera.

They will not grow old, as those from more northern States grow old.
For them it will always be three-quarter-time, with the scores level
and the wind advantage in the final term.
