Complete and utter stupid post. The Saints were 1 and 4 after 5 rounds in 1997.

Demons with a late season wet sail will sneak into fourth on percentage, flog West Coast in a Subiaco prelim, then choc full of confidence will destroy Carlton in the decider by outmanning them in the middle and presenting too many options up forward. Matthew Bates will win the Norm Smith. Davey will kick 8 from CHF all on his right foot.maverick wrote:Good point they were.
Which of the five teams mentioned here do you see making the 8?
You know it's gonna happen.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I was thinking Dean Brogan, Chadwick and James McDonald were going to bring GWS home to a premiership on debut… but this makes a lot more sense, cheers.Thinline wrote:Demons with a late season wet sail will sneak into fourth on percentage, flog West Coast in a Subiaco prelim, then choc full of confidence will destroy Carlton in the decider by outmanning them in the middle and presenting too many options up forward. I don't see any of those 5 team having any hope of making the top 8. But that's not the point. Nobody thought the Saints would finish top after being 1 and 4 either.maverick wrote:Good point they were.

Footy is a strange game sometimes.

Wish we were playing the pies in the next fortnight, Dale Thomas and Heath Shaw ruled out for two weeks!
They have Port/Bombers.
Will they struggle for top 4 this year?
Really opening up huh.

Re: and then there were 13
I read on here the other day that we had one win and eight losses at one stage last year and we still made the eight. So I wouldn't rule out anyone at this stage.

I wouldnt beleive everything you read on here unless you think Milney is a hack as is Dal and Jack. Also we made huge mistakes by not playing Walsh and delisting Cahill and Johnson.

Re: and then there were 13
those 5 are terrible
its not the win: loss ratio, It is the nature of the losses.
im ruling them out.

Or if you think umpires are perfect, Demetriou and Anderson are clerical perfection and any delistings by an AFL club mean that a player was a talentless hack incapable of playing anything but ammos.
