Guess this weeks ins and outs

Post: # 1208553Post plugger66 »

After receiving over 100 pm's requesting that this amazing thread start on a Wednesday night i have decided to do the right thing by those people who cannot log on Thursday before the side is picked so from now on we will start it after 6pm Wednesday which gives a full 24 hours for people to give reasons who and why will be the changes for our next game.

Out Cripps needs a full game.

In Ledger Had a full game last game.

Tempting fate to call it early but by golly! You're shaping up 3-for-3 on your sig there K.

:D

PS Geary in my Supercoach, go Gears!

PPS Changes NFI, but get the feeling Newnes might have a rest.

PPPS For mine, the reason Ledger has not been playing as much as we'd thought is that he's a straight or pure midfield player. Don't think he could actually play anywhere else, ala Cripps Newnes Polo etc.

So essentially - he's vying for position with Jones, Steven, Armo and Co. Apparently, they're ahead. Fair enough.

Also get the feeling team balance is a big thing for the Watters selection policy. Think this is great too. Creates pressure in depth.

I've got an Irish mate and that is how he pronounces it too.

Cripps goes to hbf Newnes takes a rest in the 2's and Gram comes onto the bench - SK could be right "sub".

Please let it be -

Out - Polo (his disposal by foot is dodgy to say the least)
In - Ledger or Gram (yes, read above on Polo but at least he can break the lines and play mid and back!)

I would be concerned if Gram came back after only 3 quarters in the Sandy 2's… even as a sub.

He's a good player, but should earn a recall and prove that his fitness is up to standard.

I'm a big fan of Newnes now. Cripper struggled back in the NAB -a spot I thought he was destined for. Newnes had plenty of ball and didn't panic against the dogs, that said I don't think the dogs had a dangerous entry into their forward line all night.

Watters supported a winning team for last week's selections.

it's Ledger in for Cripps for me. The Sub will be interesting - Peake for his run, strength (relative) and experience against the Dockers.

It's too early yet for Gram.

No to Gram.

Polo stays
Newnes out

Ledger in - need his run/ball winning ability.

Cripps needs to step it up or have a spell soon.

Another great post from you Dragit. :D I totally agree with those sentiments.

I reckon Grammy could do with a full senior game at Sandy. They could tell him it's to build fittness, whilst also sending out the not so subtle message that we now have some good kids, and he now needs to earn his place :!:

Ledger to first emergency. I'd love to see him in as soon as possible, but there's currently no one who deserves to be dropped to make way.

The Poloverizer to be told to handball, or kick only with the left.

No idea who should be the sub.

PS: Hey P66, I thought about sending you a PM asking for this post to appear earlier in the week, so I reckon that's close enough - you can claim 101 requests. :)

Agree with all of that. Don't want to see Grammy back unless he's been doing exceptionally well on the track, or in the ressies ressies last week.

And the Polo kicking on the left thing is funny. He is able to thump it on the left! Reckon he did one last week that was 55-60m.

Aside from all that I'd be happy to see Ledger in for Cripps. Maybe Grammy in for Newnes for the Haw game. Newnes could be good for two more matches (that I expect to win) and then give him a break and get Gram or Schneids back in for Haw.

Sipposs for Cripps - I think Scotty will want someone who can kick the ball long to our forwards to counter the press.
Ledger for Newnes - I really like Newnes but Ledger has a more seasoned body and the game will be a grinding Lyin special

Gram can stay at Sandy until he earnes his stripes. He's most likely to struggle for games this year.

Gram will not struggle for games once he is fit. He is a runner however his disposal at times can be ordinary.

That being said I would like to keep Cripps as the sub and would like to see Polo out for Siposs.

The Docker do not have a mature, strong field group so why would we need Polo to throw his weight around?
