Saints huge favourites
Cannot believe the odds I just saw on Betfair.
Saints: 1.45
Freo: 3.15
If you want to hedge your emotional investment with financial, it's very tempting.

Re: Saints huge favourites
pretty weird.
id have thought slight home ground advantage to us. maybe a 1.90 to 2.10 kind of bet.
will definitely be a close game. cant see anyone blowing it open .

Perhaps that's a prediction of the score.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Re: Saints huge favourites
Incredible odds. Freo are a very strong end to end side who are now coached by a bloke who knows how to win.
Mind you they were average for all but a qr v Swans on the road and they hardly dominated Brisbane.
I reckon we're better than evens, but if we get to 70 pts in the course of winning I'll be amazed. 2hrs of boring arm wrestling. Don't believe me then subject yourself to half an hour of Freo's last game...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
Re: Saints huge favourites
Just how long did it take our team to be able to play Lyon's game plan with any competence? Freo will be playing their 4th.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

It's a good point. We went backwards to go forwards under Ross.PJ wrote:Just how long did it take our team to be able to play Lyon's game plan with any competence? Freo will be playing their 4th.

we will kill freo
What is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger.
Re: Saints huge favourites
Since last time we played them, heaps has changed, for both teams.
Not sure how they can come to any real conclusions.
I still think Saints will win easily.

Correct. If last week's form was an indicator Freo are is massive trouble.SainterK wrote:Since last time we played them, heaps has changed, for both teams.

We should win by plenty. Up to 10 goals. At least 6 IMO.
Our hunger and pressure against the Dogs was top 4 standard.

As stated yesterday we are still $7 on Betfair to make top 4.

Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

i'm one and one so far this year - made money on port, lost some on the dogs. still ahead overall and highly likely to take freo at $3+.Con Gorozidis wrote:you would have to chuck a 50 on the dockers with those odds.

If feeling sorry for Luke Ball makes one a dubious supporter, where does that leave someone backing Lyon's Shockers against us?

to be honest, i'm not a massive one for caring about what random people on the internet think, so it's unlikely to affect me that much.whiskers3614 wrote:Wait till the thought police get hold of you!

good question.vacuous space wrote:Has Fremantle ever beat us at Docklands?
no, they haven't. they've only beaten us twice away from wa - once at waverley in 95, once at york park in 2006. (i think we all remember that game.)
docklands games:
2011 R20 - 41 points
2010 R4 - 15 points
2009 R4 - 83 points
2008 R13 - 8 points
2007 R20 - 30 points
2004 R22 - 29 points

Con that would be in a zero commission bet.Con Gorozidis wrote:pretty weird.
id have thought slight home ground advantage to us. maybe a 1.90 to 2.10 kind of bet.
will definitely be a close game. cant see anyone blowing it open .
More like 1.60 to 1.80 so Centrebet is always the winner!

seems they have quite a few injuries and their record at etihad stinks.
but on raw team ability i think we are quite even.

Got sick of waiting for you fellas to do something about it so scunned out the Visa and launched into Saints for top 4.whiskers3614 wrote:As stated yesterday we are still $7 on Betfair to make top 4.

Not that sure we can make it but if we beat Dockers and Demons I'm pretty sure I'll be about to lay off at much lighter odds.
Lose tomorrow and I will be eating no name baked beans and stale toast for a while!
