Re: LYON RECEPTION THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
Was great for our club, I can understand his reasons for leaving and I honestly believe that all parties (Lyon, St Kilda and Fremantle) are better off 8 months later.
So I will be treating it like any other game of footy: I hope we smash the opposition.

Given the history of Freo/St Kilda games that's not out of the question.joffaboy wrote:What position will Lyon play.
Will only boo him if he gets a kick, otherwise couldn't give a flying F*** about him.
.
I too will boo him if he gets a kick (to be honest any possessions) on Friday.

He will kick the goal to draw after the siren and Essendon will be awarded the game.cowboy18 wrote:Given the history of Freo/St Kilda games that's not out of the question.joffaboy wrote:What position will Lyon play.

Re: LYON RECEPTION THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
Beating Freo is really all that matters.
I do however hope that several people take it upon themselves to give Lyon a right earful. I wouldn't be upset if some rotten fruit was thrown tbh.
It is good to see that some of the youngsters that he drafted are looking the goods, but apart from that he can go pleasure himself with a cheese grater.

Not sure about cheese grater,
but surely has something rather large secreted in his backside judging by the walk and the smirk!

Re: LYON RECEPTION THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
More concerned about the team getting the four points and playing good hard attacking footy. The energy they're bringing to the contest at the moment will hold them in good sted against any opposition. Best way to give a little something to Rossy and Freo is for the boys to kick 22 goals with 10 different goal kickers....

I really hope that the team and coaching staff are treating this as just another game that we need to win and not carrying on like jilted teenagers.

Wouldn't waste my breath. Something I would like to see is; leave Stanley, on his own, at full forward to be picked up by Dawson.
Some time soon.

BTW, great to see our cheer squad has one up on at least another AFL cheer squad. I thought your Bulldog counterparts have to be the unhealthiest looking cheer squad in the league. You could solve the East African hunger crisis with the amount of calories that mob consume.

Just a tinker?
Meh.
Sure he might recognise the pressure, but there it ends.
Honestly, there will be some players running around that he wouldn't even know anything about.

I will be amused just seeing his poncy walking style and stupid smug grin f%$# off his face when we win and he has to face the media with his boring rant about process and roles.

I would think that being professionals, they will probably be doing that.kosifantutti wrote:I really hope that the team and coaching staff are treating this as just another game that we need to win and not carrying on like jilted teenagers.
I also think that a bunch of footy fans whining about Ross Lyon leaving won't have any effect on the result of this match.

Re: LYON RECEPTION THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
Stanley, Steven, Armitage, lynch were held back by him...their actual football talent would maybe have got us over the line.....
He had little faith in kids, they played like the coach didn't back them...
Anyway, he jumped ship because of financial gain and he believed he was more likely to succeed at freo, no loyalty towards stkilda.... No integrity with an underhanded process...
Ball a lttle different, he was starved of opportunity and offered a 50% pay cut, no one in their right mind would accept that. I can see why he left....
