Re: Ladder 2012
Pretty meaningless at present.
A rise up the ladder with a good win over the GC counts for not much at all.
It is however good to secure a % boost unlike last time we played GC.

Re: Ladder 2012
I know it's only round 2
and yes I know there's long way to go
and yes I know we played one of the teams from the bottom of the ladder
BUt if I was to leave it all now I could say we are above Cats, Pies and Hawks + 60%
wish I was meeting some of theri fanantical supporters in the next few days
and yes I know there's long way to go

Norths draw is unbelievable.chook23 wrote:Sydney Adelaide and North have a huge adavantage given their draw......................
is a real blight this afl fixture.
Does it truly help though?
I don't think getting there easy helped the Pies much in....was it 2009 they had the super soft draw?

May well keep some one out of the 8....who in fact could be a better side but with a tougher fixture.SainterK wrote:Norths draw is unbelievable.chook23 wrote:Sydney Adelaide and North have a huge adavantage given their draw......................

fact it might not help them in finals is not the point.....
compromised competition.................stinks.

The only thing is i would have expected to have won all 3 games and I ma pretty sure you would have too withy the draw. lets face it most Saints supporters think we are one win short.

Interesting.
I'm happy with two wins from the three, and think they are capable of winning some that you maybe have put a cross next to....see I can do it to
Win next week, we'll potentially be top 4...sue me if I think that's not bad considering last year.

Teams that clubs play twicechook23 wrote:Sydney Adelaide and North have a huge adavantage given their draw......................

North ------ GWS, GC, Bulldogs, Essendon, WCE ===== 3 easy, 1 medium, 1 hard
Adelaide---- GWS, GC, Port, Freo, Geelong ======== 2 easy, 2 medium, 1 hard
Sydney----- GWS, Bulldogs, St Kilda, Geelong, Hawks== 2 easy, 1 medium, 2 hard
A good draw for these 3 teams right.... but look at who we get twice.....
Saints------- GC, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Sydney, Carlton= 3 easy, 1 medium, 1 hard
On the face of it, our draw is looking pretty favourable too..... For comparison, if we are to grab 4th spot, our likely competitors....
Collingwood - Essendon, Hawthorn, Carlton, WCE, Geelong = 1 medium and 4 hard
Geelong------ Dogs, Adelaide, Swans, Hawks, Collingwood = 1 easy, 2 medium, 2 hard
Hawks-------- Port, Sydney, WCE, Geelong, Collingwood == 2 medium and 3 hard
WCE--------- Brisbane, North, Freo, Hawks, Collingwood == 3 medium and 2 hard
Carlton------ Brisbane, Richmond, Essendon, Saints, Pies == 4 medium, 1 hard

WCE and Carlton are flying, the Hawks are going ok but the Cats are 1 down already as are the Pies.
Btw all have siginificantly tougher draws than us too.

Re: Ladder 2012
I agree with plugger. I had us penciled in to be 3 zip now.
But if we are 4 and 1 after round 5 that is par IMO.

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Re: Ladder 2012
Sure, but they have both had tougher starts to the season than us and would probably have expected to be 2-1 and so both are a game down on that (does that make sense?)SainterK wrote:Cats and Pies are two down Richter...Richter wrote:Sure, but who our likely competition for the 4th spot in the top 4?
