Tiwi Bombers over the hapless lead surrendering Northcliff Tigers by 14 points.
I barracked for the Tigers on sentimental long time flagless grounds, but it wasn't their year.
For Sainters, Ross Tungalatum said to have been a standout (as usual if anyone has followed his post-delisting history).

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Had talent for sure.
Didn't he ask to leave because he was homesick?
Wasn't so much a delisting for the sake of it from memory.

I watched him play one game for Sandy in which he was a very wide receiver and a very long way from AFL seniors. Don't shoot me - just what I noticed from the one game I watched which could have easily been a bad day for him.
Was there on the outer wing as a youngster flying the flag in '66 - still loyal, still passionate!
