What's the story with Sam Crocker?
Expected to see him play a few nab games but think he only played one.
With his foot skills expected to see him more prominent for senior selection.
Is he injured? If not, what deficiencies are keeping him from getting to ledger/cripps form level?

The only thing I can think of is that at the moment he still is a bit skinny for AFL level, sort of like Winmar over the past couple of years. Just needs to hit the weights hard as I think he's only about 75kg?

How was his year this year?
Re: What's the story with Sam Crocker?
Wasnt he one of the better players in the intraclub match before nab cup started?

he was in the squad for the first game but never actually got a run.One Eyed Saint wrote:Expected to see him play a few nab games but think he only played one.
no idea what the story is but some players take longer than others. dal santo and montagna were drafted the same year. dal played 75 games in their first four years on the list while joey played just 30. it was his fifth year before he cemented a spot. by that measure, crocker could be a regular in 2015.

Geez. Must have watched a lot of his Sandi games...
Also his nab cup games...
So because he is small... Let put three years of development into him... Then delist him... Hope no one else drafts him... Then hope no one else rookies him before we do...
Laughable.

He is going to be a good player but I thought I heard he had an injury coming out of last season it's possible he is still carrying the effect into this one because he wasn't as advanced as others.

He was just okay for Sandy today.

anyone under 180cm needs some serious tricks at their disposal to make it at afl level.
we all hope is kicking is that trick. i dont reckon it will be enough. but happy to rookie him to make sure we havent wasted the 2 years investment.

Re: What's the story with Sam Crocker?
He was ahead of Cripps and Ledger at this time last year in my opinion so can have an impact if he gets a good run with injuries. I think his shoulder went late last year or something like that so probably has a little less development than we would like so far. He is small but if he can use the ball well there is a place for him.

Re: What's the story with Sam Crocker?
He looked great in the NAB and looked like a player just too small. Just my opinion of the three promising players. His disposal was magic and he got it a fair bit.

Exactly laughable.
Even if it takes him 5 years to make it, the club must make the right call after watching him for 3 years.

I like him. But he has had one year... And some of that on the sidelines with a shoulder.
I'm not the one declaring we should delist him before the season has even started, and if I think that is a poor comment, I'll say so. No need to sook about it.
