We just got back home from Wang. What could have turned into a bloody disaster turned out ok because our club cared enough to give something back to the locals as well as those like us who made the trip up from Melbourne. The praccy game was a bit of fun and the players coming around and thanking us for attending was a nice touch.
The club seems to be living up to their promise of being more conscious of their supporters and community as a whole.

Roads were fine, we drove to Milawa before coming home, there is plenty of new lakes in paddocks but the roads are clear

Isn't it a breath of fresh air to have to some positive coverage of the club? I am happy that the true character of the club is coming out in the news this year...it's a nice start to the 2012 campaign.

Reckon in previous seasons we would have taken the easy option and not played ,think Watters really is that breath of fresh air needed this year.

Just back from Wangaratta & I don't think I have ever been so wet in my life. What a great bit of unexpected PR for the club though. They were under no obligation to take to the field but did so under ridiculous conditions allowing the fans to at least get something out of the night. Loving being in the media for all the right reasons lately.
